without you, we wouldn't have geekhack.
without you, we wouldn't have gotten back online after rootwyrm.
without you, we might not check our smoke detectors regularly.
-
thanks imavbro

iMav-ing a great time in Geekhack!

All hail the OG WALL(et) HACKER!!!
-
iMav's original RIT dye wiki thread provided the impetus for me to join the forum.
-
IMav, my hero. A legend and a gentleman!
-
I hope to meet iMav someday. He's a sexy sexy man. (Next to Sifo of course)...
-
I just realized I have to go on a motorcycle ride with this man one day.
-
One of the best online communities/sites I've been a part of. Thanks. :)
-
Without iMav and this site...my life would be filled with rubber nipples rather than stickered, lubed, clicky goodness!!!
No GeekHack and no iMav make me go something....something!

Thank you Mr iMav :)
-
Thanks, iMav, for making it possible to be a part a keyboard enthusiast community with style! There are similar sites... but there will never be another GeekHack.
-
iMav is a solid guy and responsible for this fantastic community, a true man of men. Or something.
I'm not very good with words, but I can at least say that without geekhack my wallet might've been fatter, but my life would have been poorer.

Thank you EVERYONE for making geekhack what it is today. Six years ago, there weren't any (at least english) communities available. I had no idea whether I could drum up sufficient participation to justify the site's existence...but I rolled the dice (mainly because there was no downside aside from a few bucks spent on the domain name).
The domain name came from the two groups I perceived as caring the most about quality keyboards, techies (geeks) and writers (hacks). :)
-
thank you for all of this imav!!!
speaking of motorcycle rides, did anyone else go to sturgis???
-
Thanks for the awesome site iMav, and giving geeks and hacks a home. :thumb:
Just a reminder: iMaving is the act of punching a wall, and then immediately doing something conscientious or thoughtful, like checking your smoke detector's batteries.
-
Thanks iMav! I'm still thinking of an idea for iMaving. I'll post a video when I can think of a good one.
-
The Maverick was my school mascot, perhaps some Mav swag is in order?
-
Thanks iMav. Really wanted to meet you at keycon. Hopefully next one.
Thx,
John

So that's where the domain name came from. Just goes to show what a preconception can do for you.

Thank you, Imav! :)

I can only imagine the amount of hours it takes to keep this site going.
If it were not for iMav, there would be no geekhack, and without geekhack, I would still be wondering if the Razer BW was the board for me. Now I know there are many more options than a mass production advert hype!

Oh, this too! I was on the verge of buying a BWU in Mac layout before I saw the light. And by light, I do not mean backlighting.

i remember in February i was desperately looking for a Poker X. iMav and i began emailing each other about a custom Poker X he had made with a low-profile vortex case, plate, CCnG caps, MX Blues, etc. i was on the fence about the board until i saw this youtube video, which i found simply by googling his username. i was sold. i sent him the paypal money then and there.
that board has since been gutted and its parts are now in almost all my other boards. i like having a bit of imav in my subsequent creations. he created this site which gave me an avenue to learn how to do this, so it is only fitting.
thanks for the site and the board that got me addicted to customs.
