Is it usual for shipping from you to take very long? I ordered a cable from you and it shipped 1/10 and I still haven’t received it. Hopefully this moves quicker

EDIT: Nevermind, I guess when I ordered this it never went through and I never noticed. I swear I ordered one but I never got any emails and I can’t find any transaction in my bank app so I guess it never happened. And to think I spend so much time following the progress on this, and I’m not even getting one :))

Guess I have to order the M10‐B instead...

LOL what the :P Yeah definitely not right if it's taken that long! Man that's so weird that you thought you ordered one, but that's definitely happened to me before hahaha

There is also currently the M6-LNY edition available atm: https://ramaworks.store/products/m6-a-lunar-new-year-edition

Looks like they've been starting to arrive quite recently judging by the tracking I'm seeing on the DHL website - hopefully should arrive soon for you!!

Got mine a couple days back. If you haven't already try putting the tracking number from the DHL site into USPS tracking, you'll get timelier updates.

Mine came in on Friday. Needless to say, the finish is as good as expected. Any tips of removing the switches? I'd like to add some zilents. I've never used hot swappable switches like this before.

I just followed Rama’s M6-A instructional on his YouTube and removed the caps first, then base, and then pcb, then release the switches from the bottom. Ezpz.

You can also remove the switches without disassembling the M6 as well! There is a pin on the top and bottom (looking down) of an MX switch, push those inwards at the same time and pull up - it's sort of difficult to do without a tool that has legs facing inwards though. Be careful when placing switches down into the plate + pcb this waythough, must be done parallel otherwise the pins on the switch might bend!

Nooooo customs :( :( Sorry about that :-\

But glad that it's arrived!! Can't wait for you to get it <3

And for anyone else, you can place the tracking number in your national postal service's tracking (ie USPS for US) and see more detailed tracking :)

I definitely took it slow making sure all the pins lined up with the fitting. Is this how the PCB for the M60-A is going to be? I kind of prefer to solder.

Yep! Exact same setup :) And the M60 has RGB LED's as well, under the switch :D

Obviously ordering one. Nothing will compliment the M6 as well as the M60. Will it have underglow as well or just the per switch? I should probably post this in the m60 thread. Sorry!

No worries at all! It's per switch - no underglow as it's a completely aluminium + brass enclosure  ;D

Hi,

So I am super happy having received my M6-A! I want to learn to setup custom layers for it, I started looking at https://docs.qmk.fm/getting_started_build_tools.html and realized I'm a complete novice. Are there other resources I can also use to get started? It's going to be a steep learning curve getting the M6-A setup but I'm looking forward to getting some experience under my belt!

Awesome!!! Enjoy the board brother :D Thanks :)

ALSO! For anyone having issues, or is stuck at "place device in DFU mode" after already pressing the reset button (pinhole at the back). You may need to install drivers, they can be found here: http://window.kbflasher.com/windows_hotfix.zip

Hope that helps!

Oh RAMA I had one extra question, did I miss if you mentioned anything about the polished metal cap versions of the SA caps we received with the M6-A? I remember seeing some pictures in the thread a while back and was thinking about them.

Any idea when macros will be added?

Spoke to Knops - he mentioned "somewhere in the upcoming week" :)

Looking forward for some macros 8) knops GUI is really a necessarity for a successful happy M6-A Pad ;)
( unfortunately i dont have enough time to get properly into qmk.... :( )

And Rama.. The pad is so neeeeat! THANK YOU for making such a art piece... i was chocked of the weight haha.

Quick question for the special edition ( matte colors ) Whats the best way to clean it? ( besides scrubbing it down with the included cloth )

I have heavy amounts of caffeine coming out of my hands ;D
Yeah agree'd, GUI makes things so much easier :P

And really glad you like it man!! It's such a hefty little dude :P

Best way to clean it is with acetone followed by methanol or water - else you can use isopropyl spray (common glass cleaner) followed by wiping lightly with water to remove streaking :)
Or adding a water-alcohol mix of 1:1 will help penetrate the pores to remove contaminants.

Aaaaand it's in!

Pallet arrived today!

Will be packaging and shipping over the next two weeks :) Hopefully get it all done sooner rather than later <3

if you're in Melbourne, there's a meetup this Saturday and I'll be giving one away!
Will this carry case be available to purchase somewhere? Any other info on it, like size?
Will see if we have any extras after shipping the LNY edition M6's :)

Hey Rama,

Is there a difference between something being "Rama" vs "Rama Works"?

I'm convincing myself there is a difference, but I can't figure it out :))

What layouts are you all using with your M6-As? I'd like some keymapping inspiration. :)

That's cool! I think I'll use arrows on first layer along with two function keys for accessing more document functions like PgUp, PgDn, Home, End, but I think I'll have plenty of room for more. ;D
