But, for one who would plays games...isn't that a good thing? You don't think it's worth $40 more? I'm looking into purchasing my first mech. keyboard for games and I've been looking at the reds. I'm trying to get opinions comparing the two.

Reds are too light, I can't stop jumping around in minecraft, and I'm barely resting my hand on the spacebar.

Haha yeah I am already retracting my previous statement. Probably not fair to judge them just yet. It really does take a while for your fingers to get used to the different feel and force required to actuate the key. Even though browns and reds are said to require the same force.

So far they're just ok for typing, but I really like them for gaming, I just played a game of SCII and as far as gaming goes I think I like the reds over the browns and blues. But again, still too early to be definitive.

Received my blue switch one today and typing on it now as we speak. God, I missed blue switches. I thought majestouch 2 came with additional wasd keys and a red esc key as well as a keycap puller. I was mistaken

All you get is the usb/ps2 converter. Oh well, these are more awesome than I remembered them from years ago.

Switching back and forth from noppoo browns and this majes 2 blues now.

That's weird. I just got my reds in today and I got the wasd keys and key puller.

Btw I really like the reds for gaming. Probably the best fit for me, although typing it isn't so comfortable. If you game a lot it might be a good choice to try them out

I believe the MJ2 with Reds is considered a "limited edition" and comes with the WASD/Esc keys and key puller as bonus items, which is part of why it commands a higher price than the others currently.

I've been switching between Red/Blue/Brown at least a half dozen times a day for the past week. Gotta say I like them each for different reasons, sometimes I switch just to get a different feel (hmm, after typing that I feel like going to my reds now). They're all so nice. Keeping my eyes out for that snow white MX Black tenkeyless now.

I decided to send back my Daskeyboard Ultimate Silent due to the fact that I can't seem to get a comfortable work space set up due to it being a full-size keyboard. I just really use my mouse too often to have it set off to the right side that far to be comfortable, but I type enough that I need my hands in a more natural position so I can't move it further to the side either. Blargh!

As such, I think I'm going to grab one of these Majestouch-2 tenkeyless boards while they are still available on Amazon. I think I'm going to go with the same switch type (browns). The only thing I don't care for is that there are no non-printed key layouts available. Hopefully they also make the "Ninja" board available through Amazon when that releases (supposedly this month sometime) so I can scratch that itch. Normally I'd just wait, but I have nothing else here but rubber dome boards and this stupid thing has ruined me on those!

Even though I've switched the key caps on my blue switch one, the thin filco key caps were pretty good. I think thin key caps actually complement the clicky feel of blue switches. I didn't quite like the sound of bottoming out though so that's why I switched 'em. Double shots for life yo.

Cherry corps double shots of course from ebay. Sadly the cheapest now go for more that $50 and you won't be able to replace the caps lock or the space bar rows. But still a great improvement over the filco ones IMO.

Well, Diatec site listed the Ninjas at 11,800 yen (around $146 depends on the exchange rate) and the Zeros at 7,980 yen (around $98) so US price should be pretty close to that.

Yeah, I'd really prefer this now that I already have a MJ2 tenkeyless on the way!

Edit - On a side note, I was completely unaware that Amazon had such a large stock of ninja equipment and accessories. Foot/hand climbing spikes, grappling ropes, throwing knives and shurikens, Tabi boots, utility belts... I guess it's 2011 and even ninjas need the convenience of online shopping.

been using my linear-r for a few days now, and i gotta say the linear keys are definitely more my style. the leo brown was my first mech and i had settled on browns because of the general opinion that they were the best of both the linear switch and the lighter tactile switch. after using the browns for approximately 4 weeks, switching to a linear key feels just... like a cloud of boobs. no joke, this board is silky smooth. i enjoy gaming on it, i enjoy typing on it. safe to say i enjoy the board completely.

Besides the omg price, 17" is not for me as I value the smaller ones for potability more, but I need more power than the 13", as it's going to be my only pc. Plus i have the ipad 2, so 13" is like the same kinda size, 15" gives me more choices of size vs portability. 15" Matte is tempting, but I kinna dig the glossy too. It's the browns VS reds of the Mac world, ya know?

And since I'll be typing on my Filco in closed lid mode on my 23" ips LCD, a 17" will just get in the way.

Not enough for you to notice. The 1 has a single layer PCB and they revised the controller board for 2, but it's not got any glaring differences. Firmware seems to be the same.
