Based project, based specs, based PCBs by a based PCB designer, based case design everything promoted by a SUER DUPER BASED designer.

What's not to like about this project, given also that the not cash-grabbing price and the fact that proceedings will go towards a good cause, especially important in the current moment.

Really appreciate that this project is driven by passion and aims to bring a good experience to the user.

Did I already said this is based?  ;D

I happy someone trying to do something differnt with a good target price of $280 in-stock buy. This looks like a plateless mount using a o-ring around each of the 4 pcb tabs for flex as such this is not a true o-ring mount just because the design use a o-ring does not make it a o-ring mount (i.e. a burger mount use small o-rings around the screw but cannot be called o-ring either). Please change the title of your ic for currently calling this a o-ring mount does a disservice to keyboard community and other great designs that are true o-ring mount which suspend the pcb all the way around providing the the flex GLWIC.

it uses o rings to mount the pcb to the case

good enough for me

Please change your Geekhack name as it does a disservice to the Pantone name which actually is respected and used widely across the keyboard community.

Not bad
definitely beats the recent Ics and more
40% bakeneko 275
Kikkou 245 bakeneko
Ladybird 60 415 at 300u
Cringe 395 at 300u 2 piece btw
Just one of the better if not the best ICs I've seen in a while
xyz daughterboard yes
weight yes
50 units in stock for 280 (wish there was more this would sell as hotcakes and would also help out the local food bank more)
I'm against shilling/friends praising geekhack threads so much but, I do think this IC does deserve lots of praise, it really knocks the ball out of the park. Hopefully, clout won't get to your head and you can keep doing projects like this.

Just finished unboxing, flashing, and testing strimmer PCBs. Two changes were made from the previous version:
- Changed switch leg holes from 1.75mm to 1.70mm to accommodate more switches
- Added ISO support

These are identical to production PCBs with the exception of WKL support
Some more small changes implemented.

This comment is so factually and spiritually incorrect that I don't even have the soul power to correct you properly. A board with an o ring is o ring mount, simple as, nuffin much more to it. Back in my day, if a keyboard even smelled a whiff of rubber we called it gasket mount and we were happy. You used to get what your're given. Please take this negativity elsewhere!!! You have been warned

You are taking this way too serious, dude. Calm down.

Did I already said this is based?  ;D

I might just have to get a 10u spacebar for this build

I have received 3 more prototypes since the last update including a PC and aluminum version of the final design. Here is a picture showing the evolution of the side profile (rightmost is latest/final).

Unfortunately the design doesn't lend itself well to PC due to the amount of compression needed to compress the 75a o-ring. I am currently waiting on what will hopefully be the last prototype and then will order production units immediately afterwards.

Lightning (https://www.twitch.tv/lightningkeyboards) has received and will be streaming one of the 3rd revision prototypes with Gateron X switches soon.

7u and 8u wires will both supported to support both DCS 10u molds. I will be ordering production PCBs this week and will be hopefully be able to show what 10u looks like on the board later this month. This is the production PCB with maybe some small silkscreen changes but otherwise finalized.

Biggest changes are:
- added extra diodes on PCB
- added another indicator on the "Escape" key to be used as a layer indicator

To clarify on the indicators

The CapsLock LED will be used as a regular caps lock indicator. (On when caps is enabled)
The Esc LED will be used as a layer indicator. (On when on layer 1)

Green 3mm LEDs will be included

This keyboard is looking really good! One minor thing, would it be possible to move the DB back a bit so you can add a recessed area around the USB-C port so the cable looks a bit cleaner from the top?

Hey ya’ll! Just a small update!

Production has started on the cases:
- Ordered 25 HHKB and 25 WKL cases at the end of last month
- My manufacturer has just started machining on them as of this week
- Carrying cases and microfiber clothes will be ordered slightly before production is finished

Production PCBs have arrived:
- These include 10u support, extra diodes, and another indicator LED spot on the ESC key
- Have tested these with some Cherry and JWK switches I have on hand which all both fit snuggly
- Fixing some small firmware issues before I flash, test, and package all of these
- Photos will be updated on original post shortly

Sales format has been decided:
- Will be utilizing a raffle instead of FCFS due to the limited number of units left after FnF units
- More details will be announced once finalized

Finally:
