Swapping LEDs on QFR
« on: Sun, 12 October 2014, 09:20:50 »
I want to swap out the red LEDs on my QFR for white. My questions are:

  • What size LEDs do I need to get? (Link on eBay UK would be great)
What sort of solder should I use?
What heat do I set my iron to? (It's 60W, can go up to 450C)

LEDs on the QFR are T1 size, or 3mm. 1.8mm or 2*3*4 will also work.

60/40 or 63/37 solder will work fine, your prefernce really.

temperature: up to you. Now that I have a temerature controlled iron I need to know what is a good place to set it to as well.
