updating : MelGeek MDA Big Bang 2.0 Ortholinear Keycaps Set in stock for sale now

Big Bang Series Keycap set is the MDA profile keycap set made specifically for ortholinear keyboards.

MDA Big Bang 2.0 Ortholinear Keycaps Set - New Colorway from MDA Big Bang 1.0

The first 1.0 Version has met with success from market trial and gotten a lot of unique fans.

MDA Big Bang 2.0 New Colorway, mainly white, adds some bright red and blue, which is clean, simple, kind of minimalism.

We, MelGeek, hope everyone would live a simple sunny life, get company by loved ones, have dreams on the road or realized, and still in hope for future.
Life is beautiful just like I love you as you love me so simple.

The set designer named Big Bang as a tribute to Max Planck (the set is Planck compatible) and the big bang as an actual universal event (this is one of the first things to happen in the MDA profile). We like to think that its colorway is influenced by a similarly named television show, which recently announced its final season, as well.
MDA profile is essentially a reduced-height SA variant, though it has a few unique tweaks for usability. Big Bang doesn't have a uniform profile like most ortho sets. Be prepared for wonderful sculpting — not flat keys like DSA.

Compatible keyboards / layouts:

1. Planck and clones
2. Preonic
3. XD75
4. Atreus and Atreus62
5. Diverge TM 2
6. Terminus Mini 2
7. Diverge 3
8. Any keyboards with 1u grid-spacing up to 15x5

More information:

•   [PBT] The keycaps, made of high quality PBT material, which is wear-proof and feels comfortable.
•   Dye-sublimated legends
•   Ergonomic Design: ortholinear layout, maximize the contact area between the fingertip and the keycap, which is
                                    comfortable to type on.

Any suggestion or idea for keycaps, please feel free to leave message or email to us. hello@melgeek.com

Note: Our company only produce MDA and MG (New High Profile) keycaps, maybe other profile looks like MDA very much, but is nothing related to us, we -MelGeek only make high quality stuff! Thanks for your patience!

Looks great, just like 1.0. The only thing I’d like to see changed is a R3 Tab and a R4 Enter in the accent colors.

I'm using MDA big bang 1.0 on my main keyboard and was wondering what the exact difference (aside from the colors) are in the 2.0 set?
Great sets by the way, the only one in pbt with proper ortho spacebars! :thumb:

PS. Are you guys willing to produce a custom set for which I have the design (in MDA, could be the same exact layout Big Bang has, just my own legends)?

I'd suggest changing the name of the set so it doesn't get confused with the original big bang set as they have different colors.

That photo of the keyboard is MINE. That's Ergo42 keyboard, which I've designed and built, and the photo is taken by ME, not by melgeek. DO NOT credit your name on the other's photo and DO NOT use the other's photo for promotion without the photo owner's permission. This is SECOND TIME.

Ah yes, that is one of my big complaints about my big bang set now, no esc accent key for 40s. Back to my original comment the 1.5u keys would be nice to have in non-accented colors too

I named it Big Bang because compatible with most of ortholinear keyboards, not the colours, next year will be Big Bang 3.0 :p

Seconding this Japanese mono legends.

If numpad, please make it a separate kit as it's really a niche for ortho.

I have this keycap set for the ortholinear layout and love it, and I'd happily buy the 3.0 version if it had the following tweaks:
- please, please fix the sizing of the legend on the "8" keycap. Why is it that much bigger than the other numbers?? It was the first thing I saw when I received the set
- Symbol modifiers instead of text modifiers (for keys like alt, ctrl etc). On ortholinears like the Preonic, you often turn the bottom row keys 180 degrees so that your thumb can press them. But that looks bad with text labels. Or modifier keycaps with the convex bottom row shape would work well too.
- For the next colorway, is a light on dark theme being considered? I'd love to see that, and it might allow for some nice mix-&-match combinations with the 2.0 set.

In general though, I'm really happy with the keycaps!

I'm also voting for an R3 Tab and a completely blank version.  Also Ortho Void blanks.  Really just blanks with different colors. I'd run this kind of thing as a group buy myself if I could.
