I'm going to join GB - just wondering how much it is gonna cost me. ;) Still pumped - pretty sure this set is going to do very well.

Just wanted to say I still dig this set! Looking forward to the final outcome :thumb:

On a side note, this may be the simplest comment I've ever made on a forum in regards to Arch haha

I believe the Localization Kit needs a R4 1u pipe key for ISO UK layout.

that tilde in the renders looks quite big compared to other keycap sets. Is that intended? It looks awkward a bit.

Hmm, it looks about the same to the gmk sets I've seen in person/the ones I see in GH on renders. It'll use a standard mold so if it seems big to you, it'll be a normal tilde key.

responded. fyi, my issue isn't how interested -- or not -- i am in purchasing this set. my issues are (1) $ available, as quite a few sets have my interest; and, (2) how many sets can i really use*. making decisions in next week or so.

*hint: there are more sets that i really like than i can possibly use, and i feel some responsibility not to be a consumer just because i like something.

That GCC set is impressive, what the set might need is a 1u r3 ctrl. Has anyone mentioned a colevrak kit yet, because I always wonder when it's okay to ask for it considering very few use it, but I hope that may be different for a "niche" set like this (Arch and 2(?) orthos). This set is a winner

It's going to be a pricey kit so I won't be putting any more keys than there already is in it currently sadly. Colevrak won't happen sadly because just not enough people asked nor would raising the kit count to 8 be a good idea for a first run imo

Omg, I have never been so psyched for a keycap set before! I'm so happy that more people are focusing on programming and distro-themed sets. While I'm a POP OS user myself, I've always loved the Arch aesthetic. I Will definitely join in on the GB :)

Any chance you could offer Trimat-deskmat without the Arch logo aswell? Its a great dark grey design that could work with other combos/keysets :)

Hey personally for the Trimat I feel like the Arch logo is one of the things that keep it thematically on point, though if I end up not liking the proto I get I could always make the change haha

Thanks for applying what I believe to be the correct casing to the enter novelty  :thumb:

Now I just have to wait for the GB - I am very excited about the ortho/ergo kit, many sets run recently have been missing 2x2u spacebars in even their ortho extension kits.

I like this set and not just because it's based off my bistro :). Definitely in for the Shell and AUR kits. And maybe the GCC for my work board.

Thanks!

Also a small update for the set, Powerline will now include accent 2x2u and Alice bars, AUR has the btw lowercased and the novs adjusted for 65 and 75 nav columns, and the localization kit has a r4 pipe key now as well.

Hello, a bit off topic. I plan to get the GMMK pro and I would like these keycaps. Would the base set be enough for me? Also, can you recommend a good switch? I already have 2 sets of Cherry mx and wanted to try another brand but I've read that Kailh and Gateron are both clones of Cherry? So maybe I should stick with Cherry? Thanks a lot for making this btw!

As it says in the description, "The Shell Kit is where it all starts, containing everything you need for the most common layouts", and that includes the Pro's 75% layout.

With regard to switches, that's a highly subjective topic. I recommend consulting a few of the mechanical keyboard channels on YouTube to learn more about your options. Among other things, you'll hear Chewie advise you to buy a switch tester.

Thank you, should have mentionned that I am not looking for recommendation on which switch since I understand it is subject to personal taste, but was wondering what are good quality switches that would fit both the keyboard and these particular keycaps. I am a noob at building a full keyboard.

Thanks a lot!

Hey! In terms of matching switches if you go on aliexpress you can fidn that durock sells a version of their L1 that looks pretty close to the colors of the set,  For the base kitting, yeah you won't have an issue for your gmmk pro

Great keyset !
I would love to back this and get my hands on when the GB opens, but there's no ISO support of the french layout...
May I have a chance of seeing an addition to the Intl kit, or even a separate one ?

Already had a render with a light colored board but hadn't added it since it was a krk render, I'll put it in just as a reference later today

From what I've seen the demand for it just isn't enough to be worth the risk of having another kit or increasing the cost sadly

As someone who made a few contributions to the first incarnation of the AUI script, I am definitely going in on this set.  And the Trimat.  Who knows what else once the novelties are shown off.

I use(d) Arch, btw.
Mainly since i work in a Windows shop, but if I had the opportunity to do it, I would.

I wouldn't ever call myself a major developer by any means, since AUI was the only thing I jumped in on, but I wouldn't be surprised considering Arch Trademark is apparently behind it.
