MX8100 optimum paper size under clear caps
« on: Wed, 24 August 2011, 04:13:22 »
I've got a Cherry MX8100 style keyboard.  Does anyone know the specification for paper inserts that go under the clear caps?
Ж®Cherry G80-8113 (someday I hope to have one that reads magstripes, rfid cards, and smartcards), broken \'98 42H1292 Model M, some other Model M from a decade before that, 30 more keyboards in a box, 4 more lying here or there
Destroying Sanctity: my Model M project. Status: Dead.

I already made a file in AutoCAD (and then saved it as a .pdf) of the labels for a MX8000 which uses the same relegendable keys.  Unfortunately my web site is no longer up, but PM if you want me to send it.
Filco Majestouch-2 with Cherry Corp. doubleshot keys - Leopold Tenkeyless Tactile Force with Wyse doubleshots - Silicon Graphics 9500900 - WASD V1 - IBM Model M 52G9658 - Noppoo Choc Pro with Cherry lasered PBT keycaps - Wyse 900866-01 - Cherry G80-8200LPBUS/07 - Dell AT101W - several Cherry G81s (future doubleshot donors) (order of current preference) (dang I have too many keyboards, I really only need two)

I just looked at the file that I'd put together and the dims of the labels that I made are 13/32" wide by 1/2" high.  they look pretty good.

good luck
