The last of the Vol 2s are going on along with the Vol 1s. Sorry for the delay. Didn't forget anyone.

Just to remind people again:

CPT is running this out-of-pocket. Donations will help keep it going.

Donations are extremely appreciated and it will keep the zine going. If you have said in the past you'd like to donate and haven't, please reconsider (It's been quite a few people who have done this). It would mean a lot. Please PM me for more info on how to donate.

Received my issue of vol. 2 a couple of days ago!

Really enjoyed it, the interviews were really interesting to read. This is going on my bookshelf for sure! It arrived just in time for the start of my Phantom build, and it got me even more hyped to do some keyboarding!

Thanks a ton for your hard work on this CPT!  ;D

Just thought I'd discuss the money situation in case anyone is curious where their donations are going.

When you donate the money to me, I push it from my Paypal to my bank. Then transfer from my bank to a Bluebird card. This card is only to be used on Tactile related purchases. It is a different card on purpose separate from my personal stuff.

I've transferred the money back so I purchased the Instax with my own money and I've only purchased a pack of the film for Tactile. This idea didn't pan out.

Other stuff I've bought with donation money lately: stamps, envelopes, and stickers. USPS Forever CONUS stamps are $0.49 a pop. International Mail Forever are $1.20 a pop. A box of A9 envelopes is about $15-16 from Office Max or Staples. Stickers are about $2 for 50 if they are 3 in x 3 in.

I keep a spreadsheet with donations and purchases. I can provide upon request if you'd like to see how I spend.

Thanks for donating everyone. I really appreciate it and I hope that this setup works for you.

More
The Instax I bought will be half funded with Tactile donations as I am attempting to use it as a fundraising tool and it will supply artwork for future Volumes. I may have other plans for it as well. But it's half funded as I'll be using it for fun as well so I think the split is fair. The film packs will be purchased and used accordingly.

If this is going to be a regular thing, and if this project keeps growing like it is, I'd suggest hitting up fleBay to buy your envelopes. You can get a pack of 100 A9 self-sealers for less than $13.

If you want some help proofing your articles, I'd be happy to lend a hand (I've been doing it for a living for the better part of 10 years). I'm definitely interested in signing up, however, I'm going to be moving twice before the end of the year (sold my house and my new place won't be ready until November so I have to live in an apartment starting in September) so I'd want to wait until I'm established in my permanent residence before officially getting on the bandwagon.

I can send a donation your way in the meantime.

I've added a donation button in the OP if you're so inclined. If you cannot afford to donate, no worries. You'll still get your zines all the same :D.

Thanks for the link for the envelopes. It's really appreciated. I'll have to grab a bunch. I also had a discount to Office Max or Staples through work at one point. I gotta dig that back out...

If you want some help proofing your articles, I'd be happy to lend a hand (I've been doing it for a living for the better part of 10 years).

I would hate for you to do your day job as a hobby too. I appreciate the offer. But honestly, it's good for me to proof the articles myself to learn. And I kinda like it being messy and dirty. It's a zine!

Sign up anyways. PM me your address as you move. I don't mind :).

I can send a donation your way in the meantime.

Thanks! Please let me know if my donation button works :D.

This week in Tactile:

- Printed stickers over the weekend.
- We finish the Vol 3 draft. Maybe squeeze in a print run.
- Then we take a field trip to do a live interview, take some pictures, and start working on a new segment to Tactile: Keyboard Spotting.
- I get a new sidekick for #keyboardspotting.

Maybe I'll post some teasers to Instagram. @mosh518

Okay srs tho, I know the left one for sure.  Can I answer, or is it cheating that you showed me the game?   :-[

And I have a decent guess for the middle one.

But also for real, I already got the game on the right before.

Anyone wanna contribute some artwork? Looking to shake things up and get some new people on the covers.

Also I'm considering doing a guest column. Looking for 400 words on something related to keyboards and making stuff together/DIY culture. Pitch me your ideas.

Let me know if you're interested. PM me for more info.

Two of three. Not bad.

Kid Klown and Crazy Chase for SNES

Shatterhand for NES

I adored these games as a kid. Kid Klown is a derpy clown trying to prevent a bomb from exploding. No game has ever inspired rolling on the floor in both laughter and pure frustration. And Kid Klown is so derpy <3. Shatterhand is this platformer. Kinda like Megaman who punches and has a robot. Incredible soundtrack too.

And  'cause

I was initially thinking Metal Slug for the second one (because Metal Slug), but then realized the art style was wayyyy different, so changed it.  Wasn't too confident on that one in the end.  :-/

Now that I'm a subscribing member, I should mention that if you ever need design work, I'm relatively proficient at it. I'm not artistic, per say, but I design logos and other corporate related garbage as part of my job. Often specifically for e-newsletters or corporate announcements. So, if you ever need a little bit of pizzazz, hit me up.

Also, very excited to receive the next issue!

So if it wasn't obvious, all Vol 3s except for three have been mailed. I ran out of zines and I need to print a couple extras. Hope you all enjoy :D.

I'm already working on Vol 4 too so hopefully that will come out sometime soon.
