Blaise's Japan Haul - 2018 Edition
« on: Tue, 20 February 2018, 10:49:47 »
I've done this a few times before and (I believe) this would be my third time making a large purchase from Japan.   :))

Depending on shipping speed for each item, I should see these sometime between March and June. The complete PCs will likely go surface (1-3 months) due to their massive size while the smaller stuff I'll probably ship SAL. There's a nice mix of switches in these boards, anywhere from Alps, NEC Ovals, Cherry, and Fujitsu, as well as some others like Topre. A few domes as well that are cool like the Dreamcast board. Posting the auction images below to show what I should be expecting.

Not pictured: NEC PC-8801 MK II and NEC PC-9801 V.

P.S. I'm copying this from Deskthority, so apologies if you've already seen it.  :p

Also added this board at the last minute. Should be Green Alps.

If that keyboard is a green alps keyboard damn that is a goodl looking board it doesn't have the bad JIS layout and the big ass space bar. The question is. Is it convertable ?

Anything is convertible if you bang on it long enough. But honestly? Not sure if it will readily convert with my x68k converter, but if not I imagine the protocol will be similar enough that it should be easy to add to the firmware.
