Mod Trackpoint into a ring mouse?

Hi,

I've been reading some of the posts here and just wonder whether anyone tried this idea?

Basically it is to implement the idea in this post (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=55960.msg1291412#msg1291412) into a standalone ring mouse, such as this one: (https://usb.brando.com/sanwa-wireless-ring-mouse-2_p17573c0037d015.html).

That would be awesome..
