Mechanical Keyboard Suggestions?
« on: Sat, 16 September 2023, 02:16:52 »
I built my first PC a year ago and started out with very backs peripherals. I’ve already upgraded my mouse to a good Logitech (I can’t remember what type) and now I’m looking to upgrade from the standard $15 membrane keyboard to a good mechanical keyboard. Anyone have any suggestions of quality products that won’t break the bank? I know nothing about keyboards.

Thanks!

Welcome to geekhack

In terms of a great starter board, I always reccomend the keychron k8, it is a great value for the price.

If you want something similar to rubber domes but better, than topre is where it's at. Look on japanese marketplaces for good deals on topre boards (hhkb, realforce, leopold) they are a bit more pricey than the keychron, but they are worth it.

Hope this helps.
