My Duck Eagle is built with lubed Clear switches, Mill-Max SIP sockets, switch stickers, 2x3x4mm leds and Cherry 1800 keycaps.

Beautiful! Are those cherry 1800 keycaps hard to get?

for those of you who've used red LEDs as your main LED (not the default red ones below the PCB), do you have to add a resistor or something? Does it work normally if you just solder the red LEDs in?

Thanks! :D

Are you talking about red led for switches?

Mine works fine. I'm using 1.8mm leds though.

You need to change your locale to korean to see the arrows.  You can use AppLocale to change locale just for the 02d.exe

Yeah they're the cyan LEDs from aliexpress.  I wonder if I can replace the bottom side LEDs with these ones?

As for the inserts..I'm still packing them.  2/3 is done. I'm thinking of dropping them off on Monday.

So whenever I press any row 5 key, this viper that I'm working on completely spazzes out and the key logger shows it actuating all ctrl, alt, super, space and n and b keys in a huge, lag inducing stream.  How do I make with the fix?

Nope, no firmware changes.  I've also reflowed all switches affected.  The other vipers I've made so far work fine, traces I can see look fine, but I wasn't thinking to look before I put the plate on to check the top of the pcb.

I totally didn't see that.  But either way, I did try, but couldn't figure out how to get the bootloader to workrephrasing - I have a grasp of the bootloader software and such, but couldn't get the keyboard into control mode or whatever it's called.  I'm not a very smart man sometimes.

Rename it to something else.

The default naming scheme causes that.

Now I know it isn't firmware based.  Time to disassemble and check under plate.

Sorry to hear you're having troubles with your board.  I wonder if maybe some of the diodes were soldered on backwards before they shipped you the PCB.

If polarity is marked on the PCB, it might be worth checking over.

That's not a hardware issue.  Just create a new text file and save as  viper.hex then save over that file in o2d keymapper. The software has issues creating new files.

Something I just noticed, the caps LED is blinking what seems to be an error code and won't turn on solid when I press the caps lock

Could 2 quick flashes mean a specific fault?  If so, what?

The capslock led blinks indicate the layer you are currently on.  One blink for layer one,  two blinks for layer two etc.

So it would seem you are currently stuck on layer two. Try using mfn(3) + 1 to get back to layer 1.  ie quickly press mfn three times,  holding it down the third time and pressing the number 1.

So um... those of you with Cherry profile caps (BSP or GMK) where are you getting 7u spacebars?

IMSTO is the only place I can find one (and they cost a boatload for shipping 5 dollars for the spacebar and 10 for shipping)

I think the ones on IMSTO's website are only for purchase with a BSP set, you can't buy them separately. At least that's what he said initially. That's how I got mine by the way.

Ivan's GMK sets also come with 7u spacebars.
