Will there by any chance ever be a Filco Majestouch 2(Or tenkeyless) with a Norwegian lay-out?
-
Hi Rodtang.
No. I don't think we will have any new layouts available this year. It could happen next year, a lot depends on what demand we become aware of.
Anyone else want Norwegian Filco?
Edit: Filco Norja ketään?

What's the difference with Norwegian and Finnish/Swedish layouts? Looks very similar to me.
Btw... "Filco Norja ketään?" sounds more like Finnish than Norwegian ;)

Did I get the translation wrong?

Hi. Fellow Norwegian here :-) You just need to buy the Euro ISO layout, or the Swedish/Finish layout boards that Keyboardco.com is offering and change the keycaps to some special orders.
I have converted, and now run ALL my boards in US ANSI layout due to the fact that you can't get any decent boards in Norwegian - even my laptop keyboard, so as not to get confused.
But if you're going to invest in ONE keybord, you should seriously consider the Realforce 87USB as well. A tad more expensive, but oooohh, so nice.
Cheers,
Christoffer

The key cap on the top/left on the main keyboard (next to '1') is also different between Swedish/Finnish, Norwegian (and Danish) layouts.
The third options on the < key (next to left ) and ` ("backtick", next to ) are also different, and are usually printed on the key caps.

We reckon that a kit of 8 keys would make a Swede/Fin also cover Norway and Denmark.
This is what we are working on but it will be a while I think.

A kit for Nor/Swe/Fin/Dan would be great.

I am also interested in a Norwegian layout!

+1 for norwegian layout. The kit idea sounds great!

Hi Guys
Looks like it may still be a while but we are working on this.

Hi All
Last week we had a sample set of about nine keys which allow a Swede Finn to be made into either Danish or Norwegian.
There are a couple of issues still to iron out but I see availability in a month or two as realistic.

+1 for danish

Have those danish/norwegian keycaps (http://www.keyboardco.com/keyboard_details.asp?PRODUCT=979) you sell ever been in stock, Bruce? I see that they're out of stock with no ETA, but it's hard to tell if has even been sold once and if not; will be in the near future.

Good News!!
They arrived yesterday and are live on our website.

If I wasn't so eager to get my Filco as fast as possible I couldn't just waited a couple of days. Read about mechanical keyboards for weeks, but when I finally decided I had to have it NOW :p Thanks for telling though Bruce, maybe I'll buy some together with someone else when I've persuaded them to buy Filcos aswell! :D
