You might have seen an IC thread for this cute little board in the past. It originally was posted by @goldworms and he ended up running a groupbuy in South Korea only.

We have been working with @goldworms for a couple of months on various keyboard projects and we decided to work together to bring his creations to multiple markets!
We worked with Salvun to reproduce the UD_40 prototypes and are pleased to announce him as our CNC factory.
Keyboard Features

Niu Mini 40% PCB supplied by KBDfans- Custom PCB with a clean USB-C port
- QMK firmware
- Underglow
- 4x12 or MIT layout or staggered
USB Mini- USB-C
Plate
- Sandblasted silver aluminum.
- Staggered or Ortho.
- Top mount
Case
- Available in Aluminum top and bottom.
- Poly Carbonate bottom available as an addon
- Colors: Black, Red, Blue and Silver(clear ano)

- 2020/03/18: Major update to the case. Custom PCB with USB-C, Staggered as an extra layout option, Top mount. Colors and price announced. Added renders (By Abec) to showcase the chosen colors.

Goldworms his earlier designs were with existing PCB's in mind so he could handle everything himself.

OK, that was then. Why not update the design? Are there no suitable USB-C PCBs?
I'd love to get one of these, but I suspect it will be fairly expensive and the USB Mini kind of ruins it for me...

Probably - like the Neuron for example, but you'd need to make a new plate for it.
As for the USB-C, I'm happy to make one for it and open source it, or even talk some friends into making one if you don't trust me.
Actually, the Panc40 PCB would probably work in this. It's USB-C and hotswap, if not, I have a prototype PCB coming that I made for the Panc40 with a different bottom row layout. I could easily change the layout to match the bottom row.

I'm not saying you should clone the Canoe, but the most understated feature of the Canoe is just how NICE it feels to hold the Canoe in your hands, which owes a lot to its curved bottom.

A couple already mentioned things that I agree with: Definitely would want USB-C, and I'd personally prefer an aluminum bottom case rather than polycarbonate. I'm not really one for rgb underglow.

Now that this is gonna offer a staggered layout option, will be top mounted, & is definitely using USB-C I am very interested! A NIU mini & Let's split are my only 40% boards right now & I've really wanted to give one with a staggered layout a try. I'll be keeping an eye out for the public GB for sure!

Still looking forward to this! It was cool seeing progress on Salvun’s stream today. Is there one pcb for both ortholinear and the staggered layouts? I know you can do multiple overlapping layouts on one pcb, but I’ve only seen it with modifiers as far as I can recall. I don’t think I’ve seen the whole pcb with a dual layout. Also will extra PCBs/plates be available?

This is very nice, I'm a fan of Salvun, he was one of the reasons why I joined the Decent 65 GB! I'm definitely in on this one when it comes live :)
