I have PMed Bunny, but I'd like to say that I'd *love* an ErgoDox kit for this. I love solarized and these look so awesome.

I know that there is concern over the multiple layouts, but two points related to that:

1) These are SA keys, which don't handle moving layouts around very well anyways. The buy at http://deskthority.net/wiki/Round_5#HONEY.2FERGO_.28ErgoDox_kit_.7C_.2459.29 is SA as well but uses all Row 3 keys. So if you want to keep customizability you'd need ErgoDox buyers to get all Row 3 -- but that would make it harder to have ErgoDox as an add-on as opposed to a totally separate buy. The point being, if you're offering SA keys and want to make it an add-on, you could just not worry about customizability of keys on the ErgoDox.

2) If you're not worrying about customizability, it wouldn't be hard to simply make an ErgoDox add-on which has the various modifier keys in nice colors. But if you do want to worry about customizability, I'm not sure it even needs letters for ED users as they're often going to be used to blanks anyways. Instead, it'd be awesome if the different sized keys were different colors from the solarized palette (as opposed to the way they are now, where there are limited key colors and the lettering is using more of the palette's colors).

As I understood, this will actually support custom layouts, because all alphas will be ROW3:

Esc row - ROW1
~ 1 2 3 row - ROW2
Tab row  - ROW3
Caps row - ROW3
Shift row - ROW3
Ctrl row - ROW4

Yes, there is no  ROW1 for ErgoDox or 60% keyboards, but you can use same set for non-querty.

I am hoping that if ergodox kit is added, the keys will also be matching alphas i.e. ROW2-4.

P.S. You've made me thinking... wouldn't it be nice to have a blanks set, with solorized pallette,  but true SA ROW1 - 4? For ergodox and 60% boards?

Yeah, that would be neat. I'm new to all this though and know nothing about putting together a GB. I'm still hoping at this point that BunnyLake will get enough PMs expressing interest to add it to the current GB.

I could combine the alphas only with the HONEY/ERGO going on right now, but it's not ideal...and the alphas are the keys most easy to find/remember on a new keyboard anyways  :-)

ergodox update

ok so i have still had very little interest, that being said, the little interest i have had, is very passionate, so with that in mind, here is what im gonna do

we will wait until we decide one the r3 profile thing or not, once we know that, me and the ergodox users can work on what keys will be needed for the dox kit, once everyone agrees on a final kit, i will get a final count on the people that want the dox kit, i will then get the quote for that number, and see who of the people still want it

just to give you guys an idea, right now i have had 4 pms about the dox kit, so i want people to keep in mind, that will make it very pricey, but once more talk happens and it looks more real, im sure more would join

i just wanted to update you all and let you know i havent forgotten about you

The obvious benefit here is that basically everyone that has an ErgoDox is probably sitting on the Massdrop mailing list.

So if you're worried about the passionate people dropping away if the price jumps too high (not at all an invalid concern, including myself...we all have limits), then that would be a way to potentially get the number of interested buyers way up, so the price can be kept down. And, obviously, people would commit to buying the keycaps so the people that commit can't back out and leave you holding on to the bag.

Here you go.  While I was making this, I noticed that the 1800 needs a 1x "+" for the numpad, whereas the set, as currently laid out, only offers a 2x "+".  But the mock up assumes a 1x "+"

Well, here's an attempt.  I can only work off what is shown on the mock ups.  The colors are correct, but not all the caps are available, so you'll have to improvise.  Also I think HHKB uses a 6x or shorter spacebar--I used 7x for the mock up.  There's no 1x "Fn" on the mock-ups, so I improvised one.  There's also no top row |\ and a row 2 Backspace.



P.S.: This is for a GH60 or a KMAC Happy?

they are but they are SA profile, if you have never seen them before, they are at a totally different league to anything else they make, they are very very thick and a very high quality, if you would like to see pics of them, look for the commando 23 gb, towards the last pages of that buy, there are some wonderful pics that do them justice
