Champion! Where do you pull all the spacing measurements from? Or are you just copy and pasting from other template files?

I use 19mm distance between key holes (not 19.05) and the formula I use is:

Distance between slots:

( (19 × u1 − 14) + (19 × u2 − 14) ) ÷ 2
Where u1 is the size in units for the first key and u2 of the second.

Eg: if you want to know the distance between a 1.5 and a 1.25 key you do

( (19 × 1.5 − 14) + (19 × 1.25 − 14) ) ÷ 2 = 12.125mm
Distance is from right side of the first slot to left side of the second.

they are omron yellow/orange switches. Loud and clicky.
the caps are from the same board (some off brand fujitsu IIRC).
I got the board from a garbage sale and it was in bad shape.

I was only going to cover the topside of the plate with carbon to cover a few rust spots in the plate.
also this was to cover my cutting of the plate with a dremel tool.

I did this with minimal budget. no custom plate. lego case. wire I found around my house.
The only thing I bought was the teensy 2.0 controller (16$) and the board ($15).
I built this board to play with hasu's firmware source and to relearn soldering using the lowpoly method.

I typed this whole thing on it using a modified version of hasu''s gh60 firmware with poker layout.

I do have to say, that this is one of the first 60% I have seen, that would make me consider using something less than a TKL. (long time full keyboard user, and only have begrudgingly used TKLs in the past)

To be honest, if I could, I'd love a steelbeauty case, and the keys you used on Steelbeauty and Brownfox. The layout on Brownfox is more to my liking, but everything is just awesome in my book.

Hi Matteo,

Just joined the massdrop for an aria. I am a 65 percent person, as I demand arrow keys w/out function rows! you might recognize my name from the 100000 posts on the whitefox thread haha!
I was wondering if you offered the files for the brownfox? I am interested in making more 65% boards, have a ton of gat browns and orange alps that I want to use, but using websites to create the cnc files for the aluminum is intimidating for me. I have CAD experience, and some CNC experience, but don't currently have access to the software or the machines I normally use. If I could get the files, i think i would probably be comfortable ordering milled alu plates from an online manufacturer!
