What do you guys recommend in terms of like instrumental type music? Just some chill type stuff. I'm almost done with getting the albums I really want now I'm trying to branch out into other stuff. Nothing too hyped tho. Just something you can listen to while partaking in mind altering activities >.> <.<

Don't know exactly what vibes you're going for, but I like to chill to Washed Out. I'm blanking on the others I frequent, but I'll take a look once I'm home.

If you like some vocals in the mix, I cannot recommend The Black Keys - Turn Blue enough for these so-called activities. Wayyyyy more chill and refined than their usual lo-fi sound.

If this is way off base tho lemme know.
I ****ing love the black keys. I know it's vague but just... chill lol. Anyway I'll check it out!

Ah, okay.  That helps.  I only see you post the hip hops, so I always forget what else you're into.  xD

Washed Out is always fantastic as well.

Okay, these will likely not all be perfect picks for you.  I got a little distracted and just picked out most of my albums that I personally deem "chillable", despite that not being the case for everyone.  :)

They are most definitely not in any sort of order.

Arp - The Soft Wave
Loney Dear - Hall Music
This Will Destroy You - Young Mountain
Tides of Man - Young and Courageous
Washed Out - Within and Without
Yeasayer - Fragrant World

Star****er - Reptilians
Easy Star All-Stars - Dubber Side of the Moon
The XX - Coexist
Steven Wilson - Luminol/Watchmaker
Washed Out - Paracosm
Tame Impala - Lonerism

Shearwater - The Golden Archipelago
Owen - Ghost Town
Grizzly Bear - Horn of Plenty
Electric Wurms - Musik Die Schwer Zu Twerk
Cut Copy - Free Your Mind
Cut Copy - Zonoscope

Bon Iver - For Emma, Forever Ago
Boards of Canada - Tomorrow's Harvest

Personal favorites are Washed Out, Tides of Man, Yeasayer, Easy Star All-Stars (the remix album I posted here is soooo good), Tame Impala, and Cut Copy - especially in the chill department.

The one that started it all.. Travis Scott - Rodeo https://www.instagram.com/p/BAF_SpkHGYu/

My buddy got it for me for Christmas, probably more of a gag gift since he knew that I've never owned any vinyl.. but then I ended up spending a stack this past month on home audio gear to listen to it (plus more on other vinyl too).

€260 - 300 for a Pro-Ject Essential if you want a new one.

I'd personally go for the U Turn at that price point. The Debut Carbon is a fantastic budget table, but I did find the Elemental was more prone to being unstable due to its shape, and would skip far more often when I'd walk around the house.  I also got rather tired of the shape and not having a top acrylic cover to keep dust off very quickly.

For the price of the Elemental you can get a U Turn with a few options as well. You could get a built in preamp, for example, or an acrylic platter both for around the same price.

If you can check to make sure the tape deck is in pristine condition, goodwill is fine, but like with turntables you can get burned with something that will destroy the media.  Tapes are fragile yo.

Got this clipping record a few days ago. D side is pretty fun to play around with, it has 100 closed loops with different samples

Can't decide between "Story 2" or "Inside Out" for my favorite track but the entire album is pretty solid all the way through!

also the HHKB makes a pretty great now playing stand :p

Now that is a good album. My favorite song off of that album has always been Tempting Time. It really scratches the polyrhythm itch I get, and Matt Gartska is a hero of mine.   :D

I was spinning some Messhugah in that post. Alive, a live album. The number one thing I need to get signed in my quest for band signatures.

YESSSSSSSSS.  It's all the remixes from Dub Side of the Moon.  ^-^

Yeah.  In my opinion, Dubber is like a step above Dub in terms of stonerness.  ^-^  It's just so perfect.  And when you flip it and Money starts playing...?  OMG...

Oh and Dubber is on this beautiful baby blue vinyl.

Ya Tempting Time is such a killer starting track too! Instantly gets me in the mood for the rest of the album. And sadly I don't think Matt was a member during the self titled album's release. I could be wrong though not too knowledgeable on the subject

I've never really listened to Messhugah, I've heard them in passing or a song here and there but never sat down for a full album. Gonna have to give that album a listen!

They're definitely worth a listen if you like the heavier "chuggy" music. I've noticed they've been criticized lately for being less musically complex than they used to be, but I still love them.

I would frame the hell out of that album. Not into metal, but it looks so sick.

Quick question, where can one buy shelves like the ones you have? Are they specifically made for storing LPs?

Ikea!  They are more or less made for records, though I don't think they advertise them as such.

What do you guys recommend in terms of like instrumental type music? Just some chill type stuff. I'm almost done with getting the albums I really want now I'm trying to branch out into other stuff. Nothing too hyped tho. Just something you can listen to while partaking in mind altering activities >.> <.<

Can I suggest Chon, Scale the Summit, Animals as Leaders, and Super Soul Bros?

I remember when the older version was discontinued, there were articles specifically about how record enthusiasts were running out to buy up the stock. They really are the best for that purpose, especially paired with the lighting systems they have.
