Air mail can be stupidly fast if it catches onto the right plane, at the right time  (and if it doesn't take forever to sort through the ISC)  ;)

There was movement at the station ...

But still no communication.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Sheraton cycle, not actively malicious probably but terrible communication at times.

There seem to be a lot of missing keys from Originative :(

Did anyone get the Taihao colorful sets?

I ordered one. Don't have it, yet.

I don't mind waiting. I just really don't like the lack of communication.

I kinda feel like if everyone keeps giving him business he has no incentive to reach back out to the community....

If his money stops coming in he would probably at least give us an update because that appears to be very important to him.

No, that would require the forum as a whole having a memory longer than a page and a half of a thread.

This threads starts as a where's sherry and my stuff, sherry silently puts more things on his site, thread turns into a I bought more stuff from sherry.

Well this forum doesn't have a problem providing originative a sub-forum even though sherry has decided not to come here and pretty much ignores most geekhackers.

I would say if any other vendor pulled this crap everyone would be up in arms about it and something would be done about it.

Why even have a VTOS if it isn't enforced.

Maybe the fact that some sets are trickling out alleviates any immediate frustration that might result in definitive action.

I just have sherry on my skype as an individual. I'm not on any elite skype groups but they are out there, that is where most of the decisions are made and the trash is talked.

I do as well. I've gotten an SSL error in the past, but nothing like this.

However, a VERY LARGE EXPLOIT was discovered in SSL the other day. Like, it totally breaks anything if you know how to. This is the third event of this size in the past 2 months.

I'd avoid ordering (or attempting to order) for the time being. Wait a day or 2 for it so sort out.

Didn't a similar situation happen with Sherry about a year ago?

He started a forum post apologizing for being away so long.

Then he was on the ball for about 6 months.

Then he disappeared again.

I could be off on my description on how things went.

It appears as if my order has shipped.   Tracking numbers were forwarded.    Sheraton is seemingly back to taking orders and shipping them, which is good since he has items that no one else has?

i did receive my long awaited small but expensive order of springs and stickers. he was apologetic in his email for the lack in communication, apparently there was a inventory shortage of something i ordered and that prevented him from shipping me my stuff, If he would have just told me that a month ago i would be fine with the whole situation.

Id buy from him again if he gets his **** back together, but if he not going communicate on geekhack i think he should have his vendor forum taken away; just my opinion though.......

I'm not sure he should get his vendor forum taken away, but maybe suspended for a while or have some warnings posted.  Granted the people here at GH have been pretty good at warning people anyways.

I'm a sucker though, and will probably order Cryllic in spite of all this...

If anyone lives in or near NYC and wants to see the Cyrillic set PM me.

I don't have immediate access to a camera like I thought.

I actually might be in the city this sunday...if you want me to bring my dslr...

Random new orders getting shipped, new products added to website, facebook status updated, yet still ignore inquiries for 6 month old pending orders ...

I just sent sherry another email, let's see what's going on

Happy Friday!

I am sorry for the lack of updates.

The colorful double shots are finally on their way. We ran into 2 problems with the company. Most of the funds were on hold by a middle man company who tried to convert the funds from USD to NTD. The holdup took us more than 6 weeks. There were also problems with the special boxes that your item comes in.

The Full Otaku ran into a dilemma as well through the company. We have everything ready, but we are in need of the winkey set and the 7x space bar. If you want your set shipped (without the winkey and 7x spacebar), then please e-mail us right away. We will ship the other items for free right after.

There are some new products:

- Russian Cyrllic
- Cherry Stabilizers
- Originative boxes
- Blank RGB (thick PBT)
- Light Savers

Things on the way:

- GMK RGB
- Dolch
- SoWaRe
- Titanium and other specialized keys.
QFR brown x2, Realforce 45G, Type-S, Keycool 22 blue

Previous keyboards: 55G, IBM Model M, Dell AT101W, Fujitsu FKB4725, G80-3000 clear, QFS green, QFS blue

Hands are clean of this damn place.  GL all prospective buyers, 120+ days later and no keyset I finally get to cancel my order.

PS

Super convenient that black friday special otaku orders are ignored until people cancelled and then suddenly the keyset gets restocked at a higher price.

Ordered three items -- GMK charred orange, 65 springs, metal key puller -- but only received the GMK set & springs.  No keycap puller.

The charred orange set came with several keys with noticeable scratches on them.  I'm guessing that's normal for GMK keycaps?  At least there's no key missing.  Thank god for that.  A huge sigh of relief since my sanctuary set from the original GB came with F5 key missing and Sherryton never sent me the replacement key he had promised.

I pretty much expected something to go wrong.  So I recorded the whole process of me opening up the package and checking every key caps to make sure nothing's missing.  I recommend you to do the same when you receive something from originative.   That way you have something to support your case if you ever need to file a claim etc.

Email sent and hopefully they do something about this.  If not, I'm out 6 bucks which I guess is not too bad considering what others have gone through.

There shouldn't be any scratches on brand new keycaps.

He responded very quickly and said he will send out the missing item.  Pleasantly surprised.
