Nah...we have at least 4-5 Finnish members I can think of...

Verkuoppa ftw!

*Verkkokauppa... Only good thing is topres, others are quite a better place... And we even have local store which sells Filcos, now take that!
So I should add something useless here yes? Ok, ok...

Michelle Bachmann just dropped out.  This is good news for Canadians since she wanted to annex your oil fields.

Thanks from best nation to the worst!

That is good news... but more because she's an idiot rather than annexing our oil fields. The Americans already own our oil fields. Damn corrupt Western-style "democracy" and "capitalism"!

That's why I live in a trendy loft downtown on the San Antonio River.  Big business can build the lofts, but we don't have any public/governmental resources for running water.

I have a friend on a Austin area Citizen Water Board.

Talk about power.  It's like the movie Chinatown if you control water in Texas.

I still don't think Texas should be considered US in this poll.  Witness Ron Paul and that other guy.

No ****.  The LCRA (Lower Colorado River Authority) is huge in Texas, especially since they also control (hydroelectric) power.

My post was a bit of an exaggeration for comedic purposes.  Really city-level public services are pretty good here; it's the state-level services/funding that sucks.  Water and electric are great, education sucks.  This is mainly due to the (major) cities having Democratic leadership while the state is Republican.  And the only reason that phenomenon exists is due to gerrymandering.  Otherwise, the state would vote Democratic.

I saw Rick Perry talk at a Math Counts competition (sponsored by Raytheon and several oil companies - shocker).  Worst. Speech-giver. EVAR.

Official transcript:

"Math... uhhh... important... errr... it's difficult... ummm... engineers... uhhh... good job everyone... ummm.... Yeah, I forgot the rest."

People were leaving in the middle of the speech, and the winning kids on stage just watched in bewilderment.

Wow, they say Turkey is in Europe. Interesting.

Yeah, someone should correct this. The same goes for Greenland... might be part of NA continent(same tectonic plate), but still a constituent country of the Danish realm. Might be wrong though, never liked geography lessons in school :[

No wonder it seems a bit boring around here lately.

I notice that you guys are continually comparing a single country to a continent of countries.

Also , trust me , I never considered Greenland North America , but I had to use something as a reference because you can't just go by " continents" anymore.  Middle east and Oceana and such needed a home. So I figured the UN regions was the way to go.... You want it changed ?  Appeal to your UN representative !!
