Spent a couple of minutes taking some better photos with an iPhone I borrowed from work. Gonna build a lightbox with some LED strips this weekend but these will do for the time being.

It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

Fantastic pictures you're coming out with now :)

HO is a very difficult colour to photograph - I remember when it first came out and no-one could capture it properly.

While I quietly weep of not making the clackvent sales (#lolfirstworldproblemsamirite?), I reminisced on something I forgot to photograph...

Oh wow, there aren't enough pics of that 'merica cap.  This one is probably the best I've seen so far of the eye.
Very nice.  All those caps are soooooo good. :)

Just playing around with the lighting I have available, still learning, but but also saving up for a macro lens, so it's just the stock lens for the meantime :(

Ditto.   ^-^   Personally, I would invest in a more white light, but the yellow-ish light here does look quite nice with the Octoberfest blank.   :thumb:   I expect to see some more shots once you pick up that macro lens.  ;)

I love the way the drunken keys look on HHKB's, looks like they were made for the boards.

Thanks for the kind words, and you can bet you'll see a lot more photos when I can buy a macro lens :D.

Yeah I plan to get some white lighting for general shots, but decided to bring out the flood lights I had in my garage which gave off a yellowish light since I thought it would go great with the Oktoberfest :)

Totally agree, main reason why I wanted to get the blank white hhkb when shopping for one since I was planning to put one of these on it :))

I have the printed one so I could get used to the FN layer, but I think I might pick up the blanks soon, as the print pulls away from the artisans, especially the blanks.

Yeah I had some doubts about getting the blank version first since I've traditionally always used printed sets, surprisingly for me adapting to it wasn't as difficult since I have underestimated just actually how much I touch type. But the way I got used to the Fn layer was printing out a little cheat sheet of it and hiding it beneath my board so I can get access to it whenever I needed :))

That's very.

And I can't think of anything else to say.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
