I am interested in the black Lightsaver, a black Lightpad, and a silver Lightpad if possible.  :) I also PMed this info. I can give up one of the LightPads if there is a shortage, don't want to be greedy.

EDIT: may also be interested in taking another Kingsaver too, depending on the price.  :-X

Do the KingSaver require solely the Wang 724 as a donor board for keycaps and stabilizers?

Yes, the Wang 724 has some slightly nonstandard keysizes, so you will def. need one. There may be some models labeled as 725 that will work, but the 724 is the most readily available usable board to the best of my knowledge. On mine, I use a mix of Wang and SGI granite keycaps, which looks better than straight Wang (hue huehue) in my opinion. But if you use all SGI (or other ALPS) you'll end up with some funky looking key spacing. In particular, I recall that the right shift and Enter are longer than normal.

Trade me a black riser for my red one :)

Turns out red looks pretty silly on a black case with SGI caps.

I'll probably be getting a Kingsaver.  If I do, I will proxy US orders for anyone who wants one.

Can we get additional PCBs/plates?  I'd like to be able to do greens and have the option of swapping in another switch.

Also, pics would be nice so we can see the kind of blemishes we'd be looking at.

Well, I put in for the Kingsaver.  I have a hard time justifying the cost, but sometimes, on rare occasion, you have to treat yoself.

If anyone needs/wants a US proxy and, I suppose, switch mod and/or assembly, I can do that as well since the SMD work is already done.

Elton I'm sure you are very busy, pardon my ignorance (noob!) and thank you in advance - is the LightPad PCB MX only or is it Alps compatible too like the DuckMini V2? I'm trying find more info on Duck's site; this is what the LightPad looks like correct? : http://duck0113.tistory.com/83
Show Image

The PCB is MX/ALPs compatible (I have one).  I'm not sure about the plate.

ALPS plate is different than MX's. The set only includes a MX plate. I believe I posted a dwg for the ALPS plate somewhere in that group buy.

Duck Mini V2s come with both ALPS and MX plate I believe. That was what was offered from that group buy. I'll have to confirm...

Yeah, I was bombarded with PMs so I didn't really had a chance to reply to most of them. There were no dibs to begin with. Whoever fills the form up first and pays gets whatever they want. Sorry about the confusion.

Once paid, they will take 1-2 weeks to ship.

Oh my...

Looks like I've missed the sale, despite checking the classifieds every waking hour since last week after elton said he would put it up on the classifieds!

Missed this thread, totally did not expect it here.

No black light pad for me :(

Placed an order for both black and silver, just incase.

right so it's ok that I haven't gotten a pm yet I guess.

I placed an order for a black lightpad but as I was reading the thread, they said all the black lightpads were sold out so I placed another order yesterday for a silver lightpad.

If there're any black lightpads left, I'd like the black one instead of the silver one.

Patience.  Most people literally just paid.  When the invoices went out, we were given a time line of 1-2 weeks after payment.  Just sit back, wait, and if you don't get notification in that time, then start asking.  Elton has been fantastic with his GBs in the past and I know Duck makes sure everything is packed perfectly and shipped well.

Same here. How many are left?
"The Trump campaign announced in a letter that Republican candidates and committees are now expected to pay “a minimum of 5% of all fundraising solicitations to Trump National Committee JFC” for using his “name, image, and likeness in fundraising solicitations.”
“Any split that is higher than 5%,” the letter states, “will be seen favorably by the RNC and President Trump's campaign and is routinely reported to the highest levels of leadership within both organizations.”"

I was told these will be shipped after lightsaver v2s are shipped hence the 1-2 week shipping period.
Prolly too late, but is there any way for those of us getting in on Viper/Eagle to have whatever we ordered here shipped at the same time, to save on shipping?

Alright, I'm going to be that guy now right after telling someone to be patient a week ago.  ETA on shipping?  It's 3 days short of two weeks.

Have the Lightsavers shipped yet?
Because these are supposed to be shipping out afterward.

Do the Light Pad and the Eagle/Viper use the same size acrylic inserts?

According to the .dwg files posted in one of the threads there are 4 different sized side/bottom panel acrylic things.
1. viper/eagle
2. light saver v2
3. light saver v1/lightpad
4. orion

Some other thing that confused me is what 10T and 12T mean.  I wonder if it means thickness?

If you mean the acrylics that fit the LED two side windows, then the answer is no. The light pad's size is the same with lightsaver V1, and the viper and eagle are the same. You could get the dimensions of them here: http://duck0113.tistory.com/94
BTW, some one asked about IC of making a small GB for those acrylic in Lightsaver V2 GB thread, you might want to take a look on it.

It's shipping through EMS so I would expect it within a week.  Closer towards 4 days if it doesn't get held up by customs.

Apologies for double post, but it just arrived lol.

It's really nice. I think the case itself probably weighs more than my stock pure. I really like how thick the feet are.

And the packaging is commendable too. The amount of layers in there really ensures nothing breaks upon arrival.

Now to decide what switches to use...

EDIT: forgot to add that there aren't any noticable blemishes or anything also. Apart from some really minor imperfections, i think everything is done really nicely.

Thanks Elton for this lol

And wow, this thing is massive. I've transplanted my Ducky Mini into it while I'm waiting for Sprit's FaceW, and the difference in feel and sound is so huge. Even with the cheap WASD keycaps I have on it at the moment.

10/10 would buy again. As a matter of fact I might actually… :)

Elton, any info on the LED for the Caps Lock for the Kingsaver?  The PCB isn't marked with a +/- and the LED and when I touched a 2x3x4mm LED to the pads and actuated the switch, the LED didn't so much as flicker.  Does it use LEDs with a different forward voltage?

So I got my Light Pad a few days ago (sent it to tjcaustin for assembly), and it looks great, but I am having a devil of a time trying to program it
I don't run Windows at all, which means I have to try all sorts of workarounds, none of which are working!

Looks like I'll have to borrow a friend's machine.

I can't get flip to do its thing in a VM.
I'm not sure if it's because of a driver issue.

Whenever I press the flip key, and plug the key pad in in order to flash it, nothing happens, and the key pad is unresponsive until I unplug it.

Are you using virtualbox? If so you will need to create a usb filter for it so that the proper driver can be installed. Otherwise it will just use the generic usb keyboard driver and you won''t be able to program it.

Alright, do I need to install the driver manually?
The guide I have doesn't specify, but after creating the filter, no new drivers have been automatically installed.
EDIT: Got it up and running!

Thanks, Crabby!

These will be shipped together with Duck Viper Eagle group buy though, so probably around mid to end of September.

I'm a bit short on cash at the moment, but I'd be very much interested in another DuckMini v2 case without the pcb and plate.
