A new day arrives for a classic keycap set. KKB Miami Dawn is a rerun of Miami Dusk with improved kitting and availability. Manufactured using double shot ABS by Keykobo.

Kitting:

All in one base kit featuring support for many layouts including varying bars. The palm tree novelty was beautifully designed by onecreativemind.

Colours:

Colours are simple, magenta and cyan on beige. Specifically MG1, TU2, U9 and L9. Keykobo is capable of matching GMK colours 1:1. See samples below.

Good kitting, good design, good price. Hard to say no to grabbing a second base kit - I am just not sure that I am cool enough.

Unfortunately due to low sales in the first weekend myself and vendors came to the unanimous decision to stop offering the Hibi, we felt it'd be better to end it early than have more customers waiting on refunds for a product that won't reach MOQ. Sorry to say, but I don't think the target audience for this set had much crossover with the target audience for a metal artisan unfortunately.

In more positive news, ZFrontier has come on board last minute to offer a Chinese vendor! If you know anyone who was after the set in China now's a great opportunity to pick it up https://www.zfrontier.com/app/mch/10aRAX2YEjLl

Still waiting on one vendor to report early sales, however once that's done there'll be an update on that.

Thanks for putting that lovely novelty design in the base-kit! I'll definitely miss the Hibi less this way

market is flooded with beige sets nowadays, also KBB is still an unknown manufacture.
KBB Beige failed GB very recently
now if this was Miami Night, it would sell like hot cakes

I hope the GB's going well. I think you were bold to go with Key Kobo but I think the more manufacturers we have, the better. Shame the Hibi wasn't gonna make it but I guess that's how it is with a relatively cheap set.

KKB Beige ran at a significantly higher price than this. The manufacturer is new but with Geon and NK both selling sets from them I’d hardly say unknown.

Miami Nights while a great set wasn’t the goal here, the intention was to rerun a classic but tiny set with permission from the original designer.

I'm a sucker for beige sets with colored legends. It's classic, yet modern. Just a splash of color or the timeless beige. I'm all for this.

Thanks dvorcol! As can be seen in the update above we've made MOQ. I'm now in talks with KKB to organise invoicing and production, I will update whenever I have more info

Production pretty much wrapped up, organising shipping now. Shouldn't be too much longer, I've asked Keykobo to send me a set directly so I can get some photos of the final product for you all while we wait for sea freight.

I've received delivery of my personal set for review and first off it looks awesome. The keys are perfect and it's exactly how I imagined. A full review with in depth photos will come soon and I'm excited to share more of it.

Unfortunately, during inspection I did find one minor production error. The 2 1u blank keys meant as Super alternatives have been produced as convex rather than concave. This is due to me not clearly specifying this to Keykobo and I should not have made the assumption that this would be manufactured concave when primarily blanks are used as space keys.

Keykobo has graciously offered to produce replacements for these two keys at an expedited pace. This will result in a slight delay of approximately one week for manufacturing, however means you will get all the keys as intended.

Once again I'd like to specify this was an issue of communication on my part. I'd like to apologise for the delays to my customers, and the inconvenience to my vendors and Keykobo.
