First off, happy holidays! I hope you're all having a festive / good winter season. With the Chinese community becoming more enthusiastic about bringing more things to the West, I'm happy to announce Keyclack's partnership with Master Control to bring you the Master Control Rebirth Group Buy.
I understand that the timing of this GB is not the best, but nonetheless, it is here.

I'm also surprised. Really enjoyed picking out specific kits to fit certain a certain board, instead of buying a large set for a lot more money and then only using a portion of them.

Yeah, I enjoyed picking out specific kits too...until I felt like I still needed to buy other kits, "just in case!" :'(

As photoelectric said, PP typically uses direct bank withdrawals.

Our order was already placed, but CNY and such brings a production downtime for China (for 2 weeks). But not only that, communication is scarce since everyone basically disconnects from the internet, which IMO, is great since they should focus on family and such during this time of year.
I will update you all on the status as I hear more. However, I haven't heard anything except Soon^TM.

Hey JChan, hate to come in and pester you but any chance you could let us know what the craic is with this? Whatever the situation is I imagine there will be some waiting which is no problem. Just like to know if it's a case of waiting for stuff from the manufacturer or having to be refunded for the kits that didn't arrive or even if it's a case of don't know yet haha! Yeah. Just wish he'd come back and clean this up by giving everyone the refund so everything will be over with.
I am really sad by the outcome of this group buy and didn't expect things to end like this since keyclack puts out a lot of neat stuff for this community. :(

He just posted some new artisan stuff again on Keyclack's instagram a couple of hours ago and actively replies on people's comments about it but still no reply from my email refund request. Has anyone else got their refunds or at least a reply from him?

He's really been MIA for a while now and it's becoming rather concerning especially how he's launched other products. Was contemplating getting BKE domes but I think I'm gonna steer clear for now unless he starts resolving his outstanding customer commitment issues.
I know he's had personal issues which is very unfortunate but it becomes a little inexcusable when you start launching other things also.

Yeah, keyclack's reputation is arguably below garbage at this point. He was thrown a softball to become the hero of this community but others have rightfully taken his place. I truly have sympathy for his family issues, it's horrible... but he's clearly screwing his customers over while launching new products so sympathy becomes harder to have.

The community ignores this because, imo, most people have the "as long as I got mine" attitude.
People that have been burnt and are full of complaints all of a sudden start giving praise once they have their order in their hand. People that have not been part of these buys, but spectate on the sidelines, still go and support the business when a new product is launched because, where else are they gonna get it?
Yeah, the mk community is filled with friendly people, but the reality is at the end of the day everyone is pretty much out for themselves.
People talk about vendors doing great things for the community by creating products we wouldn't otherwise have. But are the cool products really the thing that makes a "great community". A community is comprised of people, not products.
It's true, the MK community is filled with so many kind and understanding people. In fact, most people are so kind and understanding that they just bend over backwards. So much so that we lower the bar for what is expected of them.
Whenever a GB goes wrong people always shout "CAVEAT EMPTOR" and throws all the responsibility on the buyer. What about CAVEAT VENDITOR?

Annoying thing is though, as you alluded to previously, unless you are one of the very few involved, nobody cares. Also as it is still such a niche hobby with relative monopolies in terms of some products, it doesn't stop people buying in the future. I'd rather not buy from keyclack again (which is a shame as I have bought a lot of good stuff from there) but I'm probably still going to because he has some things that nobody else does =S. It's funny how things that have been paid for are given zero attention yet he is extremely prompt at replying to and promoting whatever his latest new product is.

I don't think we're ever going to get what jchan promised us in the last email. It's clear that his priorities aren't here. He obviously has the time considering all the new GBs and artisans he's been pushing. I think that email was an attempt to save face and nothing more.

Messaged him on instagram and he's very active there. Tried asking about the new stuff he sells and he is quick to reply but when I started mentioning this group buy or the refund, he didn't even consider reading my messages anymore. Try PM'ing him on instagram and there's a better chance he might respond there than e-mails.

Yup, basically.
Jchan/Keyclack is easily the worst keyboard vendor in North America at the moment. If we don't get our money back by the end of this month, I know at least a few makers and content creators who will be glad to post on /r/mk, YouTube, and Twitch about why Keyclack doesn't deserve anyone's money moving forward.
My M65-A order took a year and 13 days to be fulfilled. I even found out that Jchan was intentionally withholding my order because I asked for updates and accountability in the GH thread for the M65-A.
Hell, he still owes me replacement keys/kits for my XDA Milestone order.

There is a point whereby one has to realise that the patience and understanding nature of people has been taken advantage of and we are being treated as fools. This has long passed and after the repeated and blatant lies we have been fed, you'll have to forgive me for not believing in empty promises until I have the evidence in front of my eyes.

He did; some of declined because we started getting responses. It appeared that an inventory was taken and we were sent a form allowing us to modify/append to our orders based on what stock existed.
I think this is a situation where there is some kind of motivation problem preventing the GB from being completed. I know people get into these situations with good intentions when the complexity of running a GB sets in, and sometimes real life is enough to bowl you over. My offer to help sort through the stock, prep and pack orders for shipment still stands.
