Think it depends on who ends up buying the product. If the overlap between ANSI users and DCS soware buyers doesn't exist or is minimal, then ANSI support does not mean as much.

adding just the 6.25u bar and 1.25u mods increases the price by more than 25%, which basically kills any chance of this getting made

As mentioned in the original post, I will adjust pricing and MOQ if there is more interest for this set. Kitting was made intentionally small to account for this MOQ.
This is just what I think the demand will be for a niche colorway in an unpopular but beloved profile, I would love to be wrong about it.

I want to this own this set and am willing to put up with kitting compromises

As the hobby grows and has grown you would think inclusive kitting would be more sought after than exclusive. But whatever it takes to get something made that somebody wants, as it's their vision, but we do still create in an environment where support from the community is necessary, at least I think so or otherwise why bother posting an ic.

what would be a better solution? genuinely curious. i can't say i support removing basic support from sets, but truth is that most DCS sets that ran recently have done terribly, the demand from the community simply doesn't seem to be there. while pricing is high for what you get, at least this has a bigger chance of getting made for the people that actually want and miss the colorway. it's a unfortunate situation but it's not we are in the peak boom of the hobby where anything would've gotten made

I'm fine with a smol kit aimed at TKL. Price is fine for MOQ. If you want better kitting or a better price - wait until vendors are up to their eyeballs in GMK base kits.

SP is probably relieved to see a low MOQ. So when they have to remake stuff it will only be 100.

DCS 6u molds have a weird stabilizer positioning that makes them pretty much useless. I do not think they are worth including in any DCS set especially this one with minimal kitting.

The general pool of dcs enthusiasts has never been large in the first place; most of these running sets have trouble breaking 200 organic in this market, even with receptive and expansive kitting.

i talked to Aiwanei about this for dcs vert and he said “Melissa has confirmed that they will be made with this legend, in fact it will be the new default for DCS now.”. so that’s fixed.

I'll look into this, have already ordered a DSA bar to try. Unfortunately the big keys, especially spacebars are the most expensive keys and I want to stick to one kit.
I know that some people don't get along with the shape of the DCS spacebar but aesthetically I don't like the way a DSA spacebar looks like on an otherwise DCS board.

that's a nifty idea.  Yes, that sharp DCS space bar kinda sucks on boards that don't have much of a tilt to them.  I find myself propping some boards up to more of a 9-12 degree angle to make the DCS space bar feel right.

you can order a single bar from SP's site, not sure if they'll have the matching color but it's a decent to this problem that doesn't also blow up the price of the kit

DSA bar doesn't make sense due to cost. Also wanted to replace F13 with a single relegandable but the cost difference is too high to justify that.
Deskmat sample has been ordered and some regional vendors have been added to the original post.

Would really like to bump this up to 75 MOQ and reduce price accordingly but will confirm with vendors beforehand.
