From what I just measured 1.5-1.6 with 1.56 being the most common thickness.
People in the 1980s, in general, were clearly just better than we are now in every measurable way.

The dumber the reason the more it must be done

They'll probably be cheaper than GMK but the GMK sets I have feel higher quality and have better legends. However, I do have the PoW JTK set and I know they've been working on changing the legends since then.

Definitely the best "bang for you buck" set anyone could buy. There are issues, but it is $60-75.

Hopefully JTK gets things worked out so we've got more manufacturer options.  Wouldn't mind some more color potential as well.

Here's a GB I've been holding, you might want to check it out  ;D ;D

JTK WoB https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=90108.0

the vendor also offers a 15% for purchasing 2 sets of JTK. Hope this could be helpful  ;) ;)
