Any keys easy to press Fn because Fn fingertips, it's better than to stretch to distant keys.

Solder long course, 60 keys to tin contacts into the housing Cherry MX diode, solder it to the touch, cut 120 wires tin them soldered to the buttons.

But now was able to realize their keyboard fantasies. This forum has helped me greatly in creating Catboard.

The layout is standard, plus my custom (phonetic from Russian JCUKEN), instead of my can do any other such Dvorak, and it is hardware, no need to reconfigure the operating system in which the QWERTY.

Catboard top notebook 11.6"

Code: [Select]
} else if (mod_keys & (KEY_CTRL+KEY_RIGHT_CTRL+KEY_ALT+KEY_RIGHT_ALT)) {
key_code = layer1[key_id];

Made the keyboard shortcuts from the standard layout, I think fans layouts similar to Dvorak, will appreciate it. That's especially Colemak left XCV in QWERTY, I have in my custom layout now also :)

kewl! don't like the keycaps though.
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

You are right, the keyboard is more like a bat. I called it Catboard even when housing was another form, but in the bottom of the keyboard has been a hole in the shape of the head cat.

In Russian bat called "flying mouse" :)

In GitHub until details of the first keyboard on the second publish after I finish working on it.

Brief description of the process of manufacturing the boards:
1. Adhesive tape stuck on copper;
2. Carved in FabLab 40W laser contour paths;
3. Immediately removed the excess tape with a knife (if at a later time, the glue will stick to the board);
4. Cleansed with absolute alcohol;
5. Etch the ammonium persulfate (you can ferric chloride) for 40 minutes per charge;
6. Removed the knife remains of the skin;
7. He took off residual adhesive nail polish remover (acetone can), washed in water;
8. With the Dremel 3000 drilled holes (plus Dremel Workstation 220) 1 mm, 1.5 mm, 3.2 mm (and then drilled holes on top of 3.2 screwdriver 4.5 mm, 4 mm was not enough due to inaccurate manual work) ;
9. Cut out with scissors, metal contour board (this is the most difficult thing was);
10. To tin with liquid tin (an aqueous solution of a tin salt).
11. inserted fee on the inserted into the body of a button, and all soldered.
12. After soldering rang multimeter all adjacent tracks, at one point had to remove the closure of tracks.

When Matias has them in stock, you can buy them here. It's $50 for 200 and then $10 shipping to the States. Not sure about shipping elsewhere.

And just recently, I found out that MechanicalKeyboards.com is selling them. The link for the Matias switches at MK.com is here.

Um...that's an issue I'm currently trying to figure out. Since I like the US ANSI layout, I have a couple Dell AT101W keyboards that I'm using for different projects. I can get them for fairly cheap, around $30 or so. I'm not quite sure what layout you'd like to hunt down but you can try that or maybe Focus FK-2001's.

The Kingsaver, a Korean custom Alps board, uses stabilizers and caps from a Wang 724 Alps board. Pictures can be found here.

Insert - Fn+,
Arrows - Fn+ijkl
Home - Fn+u
End - Fn+o
PgUp - Fn+p
PgDn - Fn+;
