[META] Interest Check Tracker

IC Tracker

Any updates or information is helpful. I'm one person at a desk and I can't track every IC all the time. It's particuarly hard for me to know when ICs become GBs, so if an IC goes into production let me know.

I'm generating these lists with a python program, so if you think the template should be changed just let me know.

Contribute

More
There are a lot of ICs, so I need your help to keep this up to date. If you want to help out, contribute to the google sheet which contains all the data for this tracker.

Link to Spreadsheet - Sorry for link shortener but the google sheets link contained a homophobic slur which was starred out by the spam filter, breaking the link.

Anyone can edit this document. Please help to keep it vandalism clear. Just add each IC as a row, filling in the appropriate fields.

Current ICs Only - if the part has gone in to production please request that it is added to the [Group Buy Tracker](https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=57761.0).
If there has been no progress on an IC for at least a month, then please do not add it to the spreadsheet. Chances are that it is dead or dormant.

TYPE should be one of the following: KEYCAP, KEYSET, KEYBOARD, ACCESSORY, PART

KEYCAP is for single caps or small sets (GH labelled keys for example).
KEYSET is for whole keysets
KEYBOARD is for a keyboard or keyboard kit such as LightSaver
ACCESSORY is for a keypuller or keyring and the like.
PART is for switches, springs, landing pads etc.

If this is a totally new IC, specify it as Round 1

Thanks!
Bonus python repo

Updated Again. I think I've got almost all current ICs now.

This is awesome.  What condition do you use to check if an IC is still active?

No hard and fast rules, but if there still appears to be interest I'll put it in. If in doubt, add it is my philosophy

Just to mention that the blue on dark gray is kinda difficult to read ...

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

This is really cool :D. I know infiniti has been updating the GB tracker manually. Maybe you can work with him in using that Python script over there too?

I'm glad it's useful.
I'll put the code in a GH repo and post a link over there. That's GitHub, not GeekHack.

Updated.

This list is getting pretty long now, I might split it into 'Newest 10' and 'Older ICs'

Another Update, with a slightly new sorting mechanism.

It may help to have the IC threads grouped by type: Keysets, keyboards, parts, ...

Thank you very much for the effort, it makes very easy to follow up the ICs. Thank you.

I think I'm going to work on a better system for sorting the interest checks.

The GB section had a similar list that has not been updated recently, maybe you could share your python code with someone to keep that tracking also.

Expanding the top post shows a link to a Google spreadsheet that supposedly contains everything in the current list.  But it looks like that spreadsheet is VERY out of date.  So is that spreadsheet no longer used?

When the OP hasn't logged in for 6 months and the 1st post hasn't been edited for over 2 years, does that question really need to be asked? :))

I would assume this thread is dead, except it is one of the three pinned to the top of the [IC] page.  Why is it still pinned there?  And the list seems relatively current...
