How to order service parts, specifically keycaps?
« on: Tue, 29 January 2013, 19:46:53 »
... okay fine just the spacebar. Lots of spacebars. Look, this thing doesn't even last 4 days before I've reduced it to a mirror smooth finish. It's ABS - I knew this was gonna happen. Since I've yet to find anyone selling a PBT replacement spacebar, I'm.. okayish with ordering replacement spacebars. (Rather have a much more durable spacebar to be honest.)

To be fair, I didn't expect it to last very long in the first place - I keep a large stock of IBM PBT spacebars exactly because of this. (Both of my thumbs hit the spacebar at almost the exact same point and I tend to rest my thumb there as well.) I just can't find how to order 6-8 replacement spacebars direct from CM.

Halp?

Since you want the OEM profile, may I suggest WASD? They will match up profile wise.

Yah, think I'm gonna go with a set from a GB leftover. (You know which.) The GOWs called out to me.

If you're going to buy from SP, they have stock of the profile we typically use. I'm not sure what they have in stock however.
