Update was perfect. Props for staying true to the theme/source material. Because of those decisions, this set slaps! Also you are a keyboard saint for adding gmk relegendables.

Hey! So Mykeyboard assured me early on that by the time the group buy rolls around (and definitely fulfilment) that they'll have a solution to the Brexit problem. I'll discuss things with them to see how they're going, otherwise I'll reach out to some UK vendors.

Only request from me would be for an "icon" split backspace key, like in the HADditionals set and classic retro sets. Not sure on the exact name for this, sorry. I think that icon version looks better than just the word "Backspace".

Definitely looks better than regular Handarbeit in my opinion. Great concept, but still it burns my eyes.

Just noticed something, but the Scroll Lock in the current kit renders should go with icon-only modifiers (like in GMK Handarbeit). If you're going to switch modifier styles to icon plus text, you should also revert the Scroll Lock style to the original kind -- like in GMK KA1953 / Classic Retro.

Hey Lightning! Thanks for pointing this out!

I actually went with the scroll icon as a stylistic choice, just cause I think it looks neat. I know it's not true to KA1953 (which I said I would be), but I wanted to sprinkle in a little bit more of handarbeit than what I already had. Now that attention has been drawn to it, I'd like to know how people feel about it - I'm open to changing it to the 'correct' legend if it's something people want.

This might be the greatest GMK set to ever exist, once it is finally made. I, like others, can scarce wait for the day this GB opens.
As an Aussie who was born in Germany, the amalgam of beige and Handarbeit that exists here in these renders fills my heart with joy and pride - it's just so, so beautiful and ugly at the same time

And I may be in the minority on this... but if in some way we could get 1.5 R5 'Super' keys and stepped Control bro, that would - for me - take this from an 11/10 to a 20/10

That said, are u willing to consider an icon mods child kit? Mainly for the shift, caps lock, backspace, enter. Not so much for the control/Alt

a row4 kit would be nice. but i think theses additional keys arnt a big factor in the hobby nowadays. blue-alert had it in base so you could switch..

Funnily enough, it would take just as long to get this produced with CRP as it would with GMK. There's quite a queue for getting projects off the ground with them. ePBT would be a cool option but a lot of the demand is for this to be a gmk set.

In another universe, I'd be running this in DCS or something, but the sad fact is that GMK is still the king.

GMK Handarbeige group-buy opens October 11th and runs until November 12th, 2021!

Hey gang!

Less than one month until group buy! Just wanted to swing by with a super quick update.

Firstly, I've decided to change the Code legends to a Win95 logo, as well as adding in one 1.5u Win95 key. The reason for this is that people seem to be keen on a 1.5u key, as well as the fact that I've recently learned that this was actually an option (thanks Jono).

Secondly, I've wanted to announce some of the artisan collabs that I've got cooking! The list is not exhaustive, and I haven't got any raffle times to announce just yet, so keep an eye out on the Daily Clack #artisans channel, sign up for the lebirb role to get pings, or check out anywhere else you see artisan raffle forms being posted!

Hey everyone!

As has been said, unfortunately GMK Handarbeige has been cancelled due to a lack of sales figures. I have learned a lot of lessons about running a GMK group buy from this experience, and while I don't think it would happen for a while, I still have interest in making this set happen one day. I understand that the asking price was on the higher side, which might have scared off a few people, so that is something I will take into consideration in the future.

I want to personally thank everyone who has been involved in the almost year long process this has been, I have been stunned by the support from those in the community. I also want to apologize for everyone who wanted to see this set make its way on to their boards, but to you I humbly ask for your patience for the future.

For those who were particularly interested in the relegendables, GMK Relegendables will be up and running soon, and whilst you'll miss out on the colourful front prints, there are still excellent options on offer.

A final note: GMK Handarbeit failed to make its MOQ on its first run, but persistence made it happen. I'd like to think that cancellation is a rite of passage, and hope that one day, we will see GMK Handarbeige+ return to your favourite vendors.
