[IC] Milkyway - Sunset Seoul
« on: Mon, 23 August 2021, 14:47:07 »

Hello everyone, I bring to you a set inspired not only by the classic colorway of Miami Nights, but also the vibrancy of downtown Seoul.

Kitting

Dawn

Dusk

Sunrise

Abroad

Deskmats

Splash

Phase

Keyboard Renders

Alice by TGR

Fuji65 by NightSakura

U80-A by RAMA WORKS

Info
Hi! As the designer of this set I'd like to get a few things out of the way.
What is the planned price? At this point I cannot give a definitive answer, but the entire set is completely reverse dyesub and will require far more quality assurance than regular dyesub.
How will the quality be? Simply put, I am a perfectionist. Slanted legends, inconsistent legends, warped caps, poor colormatching, will not be tolerated. I expect prototyping to be strenuous and I will be documenting the progress of how it goes here.
What would the turnaround time be? You can expect to get the set 5 months after the group buy ends.
What's up with that novelty? It's Seoul's flag, which plays into the Splash deskmat as the circle resembles the sun in both.
Does Milkyway have anything to show yet? They do! I should add that the legends will not be too similar to the Lilith keyset and what is shown in the renders here will be what they look like in reality.

Collaborations

I am currently looking for collaborations, if you or your product would like to be a part of this set, please contact me at KapianKonception#9090 on Discord.

Vendors

NA: Elboard
Currently the only confirmed vendor is Elboard, if you would like to take up a spot as a vendor for your region, please contact me at the discord tag stated above or contact Elboard at JackELB#7773

You mentioned reverse dyesub, so I'm guessing this is PBT? Do you know who's handling the manufacturing yet?

Overall I love the miami nights influence

I like the look of this but wouldn't it make more sense to put ISO terminal in the base kit rather than have a UK ISO child kit that only really suits one region.

Interested; hope I didn't miss it; however, what profile will this be! Also, w/ the dusk & dawn kits, I see the mods are different colors, any plans to have alternating colors on the alphas kits? Mainly b/c it would ensure more buys for each kit too, at least I know I'd want both kits, if this was done.

Add sunrise to base, doesn't make sense to pay 15-20$ for 7-8 keys

Jtk packet loss was never an original idea anyway, this is all Miami nights with different sublegends.

Interested in seeing samples, at least one keycap manu has to be good at reverse dyesub

Consider having an international kit if youre splitting ISO from base, no need to have such a small kit just for 1 layout support.

Hard agree, the 3 kits could just 1 base.

What's the profile? I assume it's cherry, but I can't see it written anywhere.

Get rid of your UK ISO kit (which isn't even kitted correctly) and either put proper UK ISO or terminal ISO in the base kit.

i'm mostly just making a meme here, packet loss still doesn't exist so technically there's nothing for them to be copying in the first place

yolch, on the other hand...

Looks nice, love to see more hangul kits. However, it needs a full international kit imo.
