Anyone with red/red interested in swapping for silver/silver? :)

that’s a hard swap my dude

Silver usually ends up being an underrated/under-ordered colorway, and this silver is gonna be very nice

Just getting into mechanical keyboards and this is such a unique layout. Hopefully there will be a R2 in the future.

Yes, 5x2u stabs for the layout shown in the original prototype. You can split backspace or iso left shift tho and reduce to 4 or even 3.

All this talk about r2.. you people missed where he said there are going to be extras or every color??

Why is there such a large difference in the pictures? The wenge looks nice and matte in the first few but in the last one looks shiney and pretty bad, did I miss something.

Pretty sure the last picture is varnished and the others aren't, or some sort of treatment like that.

Yes sir, that's correct. I can do a tung oil which is what I used on the pic with the 4 finished rests
or I have a polyurethane finish that comes up more glossy. I'll add that to the form

Do you use a 60%? the next design I'm planning to make is fit for 60% keyboards

Also tonight I will close the form and start sending emails and invoices. Thanks for the support for the joiners.

I asked my carpenter, he says that it's tricky since a lot of woods are reddish in nature. Darker woods will probably work.

Both are finishes put onto the wood at the end. All the current ones are treated with the tung oil and provides a matte finish.

I can ask about the glossy finish if you wish

Hi, I just talked with my carpenter. He says he can probably offer a 10usd discount if that entices you to join. I've left the form up same link as before.

If you joined the wood buy I'll also give you the discount when I invoice you.

What is different between Tung oil and polyurethane?
I prefer glossy but Tung oil is recommended
Both are finishes put onto the wood at the end. All the current ones are treated with the tung oil and provides a matte finish.

I can ask about the glossy finish if you wish

Do you have photo to compare two coating different?

the last picture is “glossy” the rest are matte. Looks pretty clear to me
Sorry I may have confused you all with no context in the pics.
The picture in which it was glossy was the finish being put on.

The image with the stack, the Tasmania oak has a glossy finish (the light coloured one at the back) but the lighting and picture doesn't show it off. I'll post up a side by side asap.
