+1 for korean only legends. Would be nice and easy to pair with WoB or other stock set mods!+1 also mebbe korean only legends?Maybe having a 한자 and 한/영 Key might be something to consider ?+1 on this
Really like this. The only feedback I'd give is I'd love if the numpad kits would have the sublegends like they used to. They look a lot better with the PgUp, PgDn, etc. sublegends.Would be +1 on this because it's consistent with how the sublegends add to the main cluster alphas, *unless* a single-legend alphas kit will exist.

Some changes I'd like to suggest / know if it's possible:
- Icon + Text mods
- R5 bottom row
- Inclusion of some blue?
kinda dank
edit: im afraid i will have to change my "pretty dank" to a "kinda dank" on account of the centered icon mods

Good set. Keep numpad in base.
This coloway is ideal for adding highlights to other sets with enter, esc, backspace and maybe control keys as well. You may want to consider to offer a set for that purpose.
Quick we need another GMK set, said no one ever.

Dunno how I feel about a set named 'Taeguk' without an actual taeguk symbol.

Well, the team is called the Taeguk Warriors and they don't have a Taeguk on their kits. I agree that it's perhaps not the best name, but I'm not sure what else to call it. Open to suggestions.

Thanks for all the hard work, btw! Endgame set for sure.
A note about the red: Its really more of a deep pink almost, a very pleasing hue if I do say so myself.

Yeah, badass. Wish we could get the 4 missing trigrams though. Any chance of that? So close to full bagua.
If the red irl can actually match the red of the renders... I might actually take this over GMK Classic Red, ceteris paribus (all other things equal).
Red devils? That'd be confusing because the football equivalent of red devils is Manchester United
Name has been updated. If the red irl can actually match the red of the renders... I might actually take this over GMK Classic Red, ceteris paribus (all other things equal).
It's the same color. It's just the lighting I took the picture in makes it look more pink. It's a hard color to capture, for sure. I added a image to the OP that shows how the color looks on Pantone's website.
isnt red devils more manchester united?
Bagua request...
I will consider this addition but need to work out key placement and how many keys it will actually add to the kit.

Thank you! I very much appreciate it. I'm getting this regardless, but if full bagua you can guarantee MOQ as I'll buy a bunch of kits myself.
The problem with Bagua is that the meanings of the trigrams change from when there's only 4. On top of that, it also changes based on which version of the Bagua you choose, Earlier Heaven or Later Heaven. At that point, it's starting to get away from the point of the set in the first place.
Love this. Tiger logo RAMA?

Depends what part of the world you're from I guess.
Not to be a buzzkill, but I'm pretty sure the Red Devils is the name of the Belgian national soccer team. As a Belgian, I was surprised to see someone having an IC for our national team, until I was and recognized the first render.
Please consider adding a Referee Byron Moreno key to the Taegukgi

Great to see improvements being made to this kit!
Any chance the Red Devils logo can be incorporated onto the desk pad?
Add a taeguek symbol and devil symbol key and it seems good!

Deskpad renders have been added to the OP.
Also want to take some time to give a quick summary of the changes/additions that are confirmed and that are under consideration:
Confirmed Changes/Additions:
- R4 한자 and 한/영 keys, just not sure which sizes they will be yet
- A couple of blue keys in the Taegukgi kit, since the flag does have blue on it (no, there won't be a salty key in Italy colors, that was a joke). And when I say a couple, I do mean only a couple. It definitely won't have full accent coverage like the 40s kit. So probably R1 Esc and R3 Enter for sure, maybe numpad Enter as well.
Changes/Additions Under Consideration:
- Navigational sublegends on the numpad keys
- F13 key in base kit
- Mono Hangul kit in red? TBH, I'm doubtful this kit can make MOQ. Plus, it would require new molds on GMK's part, which means higher prices across all kits.
- Changing 화이팅 to 대한민국. Someone suggested this in the IC form. I went with 화이팅 initially because it makes the set a little less serious, even if it's a little cheesy. 대한민국 feels much more serious for some reason, although I can understand why some people would prefer it. I'm not opposed to this change but wanted to put it out there and let you guys discuss.
I've created a new form to gather some data on the above proposals. Please take some time to fill it out (https://forms.gle/D4nWcXzu6Mybyxst9)!

have you considered a standalone alphas kit with korean only legends. For those touch typers out there, I can see this being a very nice option.
I still remember 2002 in Korea.
Everyone was in red t-shirt.
I'll gonna wait for this gb, lots of interest!

Ignore the troll. Should take his disappointment elsewhere. Such an incredible set for a great team.
Any chance we could get row numbers for the novelties? Image makes it look like all rows are covered, but render on arrows indicates four row 4 keys.
For the novelties it would be super amazing if you added the missing parts from the Ba Gua of DaoismShow Image(https://cf.ltkcdn.net/feng-shui/images/std/240872-450x450-early-heaven-sequence-bagua.jpg)

Well if anyone still remember this......
nice colorway though, but im not buying coz above.
Any chance of making one of each size 'Alt' an 'Alt Gr' instead of having all of them just 'Alt'?
Also ~ any chance of having a full WKL bottom row mods with Hangul only? (ie adding one more pair of 1.5u Hangul mods)

No.
After some thought, I realized there's a more elegant way to accomplish the 한자 and 한/영 keys than giving them dedicated keys and that's to deploy them as sublegends on ALT, especially since most of our keyboards don't have 4 keys on either side of the spacebar like actual Korean keyboards do. This will eliminate the need to choose which key to leave out as well as allowing the Mac bottom row swaps to be brought back into the kit while making the kit a bit trimmer overall.
I've updated the base kit render below. Keyboard render updates will come later.Show Image(https://i.imgur.com/9ycV5oe.jpg)

I honestly liked the old version better when it was just the 한자 and 한/영, to me the new version seems a bit to cluttered. Maybe just the 한자 and 한/영 keys can be in the Korean only alphas kit? I still like the set regardless.
Love how this set is developing over the course of the IC.
I would like to add to the comments regarding 한/영 and 한자 keys though.
In most Korean keyboard layouts 한/영 and 한자 replace right alt and right ctrl rather than be placed on the opposite sides of each other.
I'm sure a layout like the current state of the kit does exist but I've yet to see one in person.
Attaching image of how Leopold does it:Show Image(https://img.danawa.com/prod_img/500000/691/084/img/6084691_1.jpg?shrink=500:500&_v=20190828160118)
I like the set, but the name reminds me more of Manchester United than the Korean team
This is the most common layout that I've seen, but perhaps the Leopold is a more modern way of doing it. I think I prefer the more symmetrical version like I have it now. It's about functionality, though. When you type in Korean, what do you use to switch to Hangul? What do you use to switch to Hanja?

The typical Windows commands are Shift+Left Alt to switch keyboard language, Right Alt to switch from Romanized letters to Hangul, and Right Control to switch to Hanja.
Please reconsider putting the 한자 sublegend on Control.
Ah, see I didn't know about those shortcuts, partly because I'm on OS X and use the menu bar to switch inputs like a boomer. CTRL it is:
Actually, something else occurred to me after moving 한자 to CTRL...if you're using the mono Hangul kit, is the assumption that you're typing mostly in Korean and therefore have little use for 한/영? If so, would you guys prefer a set of clean ALTs in the Hangul kit like below?Show Image(https://i.imgur.com/hOvESav.jpg)
Any eta on GB yet?

I'd much rather have the Hangul kit be a full alpha's kit with numbers and other punctuation keys so that I can use it with another set of mods.
I always recommend including basic 4-key ISO support in the base kit. But even you decide to keep the ISO keys in a child kit, please consider using the more appropriate R3 \|₩, R4 <> combination instead of R3 #~, R4 \|₩. For an example, take a look at GMK Blink (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=106716.0), another recent set that uses Hangul sublegends. Take a look at these (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=90706.msg2894820#msg2894820) posts (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=106305.msg2908129#msg2908129) for an explanation on why I consider these keys to be more useful/appropriate, as well as some relevant usage data. I believe this is pertinent for a set like this, since Korean keyboards always have the \|₩ key adjacent to Enter.
...and including 1.25c space (and maybe 1c too) in the spacebars kit.
Are those useful outside a 40s kit?

Yes. 1.25c is useful for common split spacebar configurations (2.751.252.25 and 2.251.252.75), as well as Alice layouts (21.25 left space); and 1c is also useful for Alice layouts (2.251 left space).

Alice layout left space is 2u or 2.25u. The only R4 1.75u key on the layout is split right shift.

Correct, that's in line with what I said. I did not mention any R4 1.75u keys.
ah! my bad. You meant for the 1.25u key to the right of the 2.25u spacebar key?

I think no separation or minimizing it will be better
Hi all,
Thank you for your patience. Kits have been finalized and we are awaiting quotes from GMK, as well as updated keyboard renders.
Kits
Changelog:
- Changed R3 1.75u Control text to icon for more consistent look with lefthand mods
- Changed F-row Lock to Scroll
- Removed 00 key since standalone numpads are pretty rare overall
- Removed 2nd Tab and extra ALT keys from Hangul kit to keep cost down
- Hangul kit legend size/weight have been revised to be more in line with cherry standards
- Added 1u and 1.25u blanks to Spacebars kit, as well as a 2nd mono ㅠ keyShow Image(https://i.imgur.com/s2stEep.png)Show Image(https://i.imgur.com/vUexwJK.png)Show Image(https://i.imgur.com/kEuov5n.png)Show Image(https://i.imgur.com/ejwowXZ.png)
Deskmat
The deskmat poll was overwhelmingly in favor of the black background (4:1), so that's what we'll be moving forward with. However, I found myself missing the white, so I've added the trigrams which I think gives it that much needed finishing touch.Show Image(https://i.imgur.com/xdemNii.png)
Salvun Artisan
I realized that a copper artisan might get a bit lost with an all red set, so I've changed the base metal to aluminum for maximum visibility. The black will be anodized. Thanks to konstantin for pointing this out. Again, below is a placeholder image which will be replaced once Salvun provides a photograph of the actual sample!Show Image(https://i.imgur.com/eezD2bP.png)
Additional RAMA Artisan & Poll - Taeguk
And for the final piece of news, I submitted two designs for a 2nd RAMA artisan and I'm having trouble deciding between the two, so I'm running another poll. Please go here (https://forms.gle/24VhgWPAfSrqFiHi8) to vote for your preference between the two options below:Show Image(https://i.imgur.com/q19xm7Q.jpg)
Everything looks great! I still remember the 2002 world cup when I was 5!
Is it possible to have a deskmat where the background is white instead of black and the black lines on the flag can be done in black! I think that would look great and look like the flag!

Oh, I liked the copper one, but never mind. Alu will be less expensive, isn't it?
I am not sure how Salvun artisan will look like in real, but is it similar to rama artisan? I mean will dokkaebi in flat design or 'cut in groove'(=sculpted?). I want to fill dokkaebi with white enamel paint.
Do you have the whole GMK Color Ring? Could you take some pictures with RO2, V1 and P3 next to your pantone swatch?
Is there any ETA on when the kit ships?
Damn, the base is expensive af, but fukit I'm in!
pricing image needs fixing.
