this is so pointless...I already see £10 goes to waste if I don't purchase any sets in the future.
Just gimme a set...
-
I thought Devlin keycaps were just a myth, had to buy a pack just to check they aren't :))
-
I'm in. Really hoping that they can get some modifier molds made so we can do some full sets!
-
Already got in on this, can't wait! :D
-
Did these bad boys ship?
-
Oh man. I totally for got about this!
-
Shipping has just started. Should have it wrapped by the end of the weekend.
-
Great! Thanks for the update :D
-
Woo! Thanks

Got my caps today - they are nice and thick and have bigger tops than their SA and DSA equivalents, and another bonus is they have support crosses so a slim o-ring is all you need for either. The lasered legend seems quite rough but the doubleshot looks great - will need to get them on a board to give opinions on typing. Unfortunately my random key was pink which does not go well with Hack'd :))

Got my sample pack today. Haven't put em on a board yet, but my first impression is quite good. They are extreme thick ( 2 mm) and look and feel robust.
The only downside are the laser etched legends. They look and feel rough and I would definitely prefer blanks. The doubleshot on the other hand feels awesome.

Those laser etched legends look 0/10. Doubleshot looks promising but can't tell because it's out of focus :'(

The laser etch looks horrible :\
The green esc key looks promising. Waiting for more photos.

For the keysets that you put into the poll, will other add on packs be available? TKL, Numpad, Planck, Ergodox, etc.
Also, I'd love to see the B & J/QS profiles. Have you had a chance to get a sample of those from Devlin?

Were these shipped tracked? Impatiently waiting :))

Does anyone have a Q Series keycap they want to get rid of? I wanted to check these out before the big group buy comes around.

Those double shot ones look interesting! I'd love to see a set of the SA style profile double shot as well.
This is some of the most interesting work happening in the community at the moment.

There is a double shot set of the SA style profile (K-series) coming: it's called Rad-Away (very similar to Nuclear Data) but it will be a Planck set only. Apparently Devlin don't have a mold for the 6.25u space bar in K-series, and they charge a lot (something like 10,000 British pounds, from memory) for creating new molds - so keep in mind that the custom double shots you see SP making will almost never happen with Devlin. The lambda doubleshot key that SP made was originally meant to be a group buy with Devlin, but it was just too expensive with them - I'm assuming that's why the lasered lambda was included in this sampler.
Edit: according to a later post by UKKeycaps pricing for new molds by Devlin is "4k+ for new key shape. £400 for custom legend blocks" Seems to me like novelties are somewhat cost effective provided you use an existing key shape and spread it across 200+ units, but a 6.25u space bar is still going to cost a bomb.

That is some good info! Thanks.
