Hello! This is Trenton from Yoretech, and this is our first case and IC!

   

Many types of designer and custom cases like to add brass to the bottom for decoration and a bit of extra weight. I had an idea to make that material more prominent in the design, and clearly visible from the sides, front, and back. These thin bars provide a nice solid weight to the keyboard, and a bright color that can be used in synergy with all sorts of palettes and designs beyond the red shown here.

     
Each support bar also features three rubber support strips that provide a solid grip to whatever surface you set your board on, and equally distribute the weight of the board so that even with the extra weight, it poses no threat to the surface it's placed on.

Hey everyone, thank you for your responses and interest! We have been getting some good feedback in regards to the case, and we were hoping to narrow some things down to really help give you guys something special. We want to set quality as the foremost of our priorities, and as such have been tweaking the design and production process to both make the case nicer, and easier to machine. Here are some of the things we have addressed, and some we could use your thoughts on.

1. The Brass: When ordering metals for our prototype, we chose a brass alloy that was easily tarnished after extended exposure to oils and oxygen. We have since chosen a suitable replacement, that will not only retain that same brightness, but also not require the addition of any sealers or coats.

2. Central Support: Some requests stated that they would like the option of having the center standoffs removed. As we continue the development of the web page the store will be hosted on, we will be certain to add an option to order a case without the two center plate supports.

3. The Rubber: Currently the bottom of the case is help up by several rubber strips, that are friction fit into several grooves. Due to the nature of the machining method, these grooves are round at each end, not square, which makes some of the strips themselves look forced, uneven,  or out of place. There are several approaches to the problem of making this nicer, but we value your input greatly.
