Mod-m Switches
« on: Sun, 26 August 2018, 18:18:09 »
So I came across a post on reddit saying that the mod-m switch closely resembles a 45g topre switch.  So I went and ordered mod-m switches and modded my FC500R this weekend and well dammit it is not even close =( .....  "https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/comments/563ql4/review_initial_thoughts_on_the_modl_and_modm/"

Don't ever compare an MX tactile with Topre, at least that's how I feel about MX tactile.

There's no comparison between MX tactiles and Topre. I do like MOD-M a lot though.

Yes it was a ridiculous claim and I find it disheartening that not enough people in this community made them own up to it. A bunch of marketing lies.

Then again, that's probably because not that many actually bought their switches, which is, well, good.

No one can replicate the Topre feeling 100%. I haven't used Halo True's yet that should mimic Topre? Did anyone try 45g halo true's?

They're not going to be like Topre...I don't know why people ever think they will..if that's what you want, buy Topre...

Nothing wrong w/ those switches at all..they have their own feel, as they should...but don't expect it to be something it isn't.
