Post by: n__dles on Sat, 26 December 2015, 03:23:25
Are there any companies besides SP, Tai-Hao and Matias currently making Alps caps?

To my knowledge these are the only ones.

Don't know of any. I've been using dye-sub PBT caps from vintage boards for alphanumeric keys and blank black modifiers and spacebars from Matias.

And if I got this right, Tai-Hao doesn't do special requests. That means the only place to get new Alps colorways is SP.

I don't want to start a GB or anything, just nuub curiosity

  • How difficult is it for manufacturers to change their moulds from MX cruciform stem -> Alps rectangle?
  • Am I wrong to think there would be enough buyers to reach MoQ for Alps caps of popular sets that are only available in Cherry MX atm (if the sets' creator gives her blessing)?

Most alps cap group buys with SP struggle to reach MOQ.
