Keyboard plate with flex cut
« on: Mon, 18 May 2020, 16:11:29 »
Hi,
I'm totally new to the mechanical keyboard hobby, and I found keyboard design interesting.
So, I have been fiddling with some plate design first. I'm following the bare bone design of the custom build from 68 Keys https://68keys.io/

What I want to tackle is plate flex. Here my first try:

This is done mainly by reviewing other design. There is no science. And I would like any comment on it. Is it worth it?

The plate is designed to be mounted with rubber washers that absorb vibration. Like the one for flight controller pcb.
For what I understand, it is the approached of the Heavy metal keyboard: https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=106072.0
