If you've already got the PCB schematics, all you have to do is plug it into a PCB manufacturer's website and they'll make it for you

If you don't have the files, you'll have to reverse engineer it. Which may take a while depending on how much PCB design you know

Just got a Viper this week Love it! I may have missed it, but just wondered if there are any plans for a weight insert? 

Also got it programmed last night, can anyone tell me which are the selections I need in the firmware to add hotkeys for LED colour change? I see the LED options, just not sure which one sets the colour.

You can use plate mount switches but need to use PCB mount stabs.

Just because a lot of people want it, doesn't necessitate him doing it. There was a chance to buy extra PCBs and plates in the group buy.

Why not just use another 60% PCB and solder the USB cable straight to the board and route it out the middle?

I used lubed vintage browns and an acrylic plate. QUite a fun feeling as the plate is pretty flexy. I did not use sip sockets for the leds.

The mx brown was introduced 1994 and it is thought that Cherry changed much of their tooling sometime between 1994-95. Does this mean there are essentially no true vintage browns aside from those in very early G80-5000s?

You don't need SIP sockets. If you plan on switching the LEDs than use SIP sockets.

No, the included plate doesn't have the cutouts to allow for switch top removal

I bought the R6 Purple Zealio Switches (Tactile) for my vipear and eagle. Do I need to lube and sticker them? I'll open them anyway for the sip sockets.

You don't NEED to do anything to them. But if you want you can lube them (I found that a very slim coat of lube on everything but the tactile legs on the stem works well for me, your results may vary).
The switches should not be stickered (like all tactile switches imo) as it makes the stroke longer and thus moves the bump further down the stroke. Gateron based switches also don't have that bit of play between the housings that Cherry switches can have which stickers are supposed to remove. Thus the sticker would also be pretty useless.

I'll likely be selling mine in the near future. It's not a kit but I had a custom plate made which allows for switch top removal.

you should lube the side of the switches so it's not rattly.  The legs don't need lube IMO since a small amount is already applied.

I've seen it from low 500s to 700s at one point.
But anything over 600 is considered excessive I would imagine regardless of the demand given that the original GB was ran at such "low" price point.

500-550 seems about right.

I saw Eagles go for the 500s range and Vipers for the 600s range.  I think kits have a higher price point as well than already built.
