Question about Leopold numpad
« on: Wed, 05 December 2018, 09:35:11 »
Hi everyone,

I'd like to invest in a mech numpad with cherry type switches and was thinking about the Leopold FC210TP.
In the meanwhile, a little bird told me (I think I saw it on Reddit), that some of these boards have an issue "registering scan codes" i.e., when you press "1" it registers the numrow 1, not the numpad 1.
Anyone can provide some input on this?

Much appreciated.
Cheers,
Z

I have one sitting beside me and I can confirm it sends the "keyboard" number codes rather than the "number pad" codes.  I use it in combination with a 65% keyboard and just use it for general office type work, so it doesn't bother me in the slightest.  (I've also found the extra esc/tab/=/backspace keys very useful and I feel like there's something missing when I use a regular number pad on a 100% keyboard.)  However if you're looking to use it for gaming, alt codes, key remapping or something similar, then it may not be for you.  Highly dependent on your usage.
