So, anyone else figure out how to reprogram these yet? I haven't and mine's just been chilling :P It's still sexy as fuuu though

You've got one?!?

When were they for sale?

Long ago at Keycon.

Oh, that.  They were supposed to be available in Techkeys store too.  Eventually.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Exactly my thoughts / sentiment.  Would love get one if reprogramming would not require writing my own firmware for it from scratch.  I've searched here for ATMEGA16U2, and only 2 hits came up--neither very relevant.

TMK firmware should work. metalliqaz' Easy AVR also supports 32U2.

Ah, it's a 16U2 instead of a 32U2, but I bet one of those will still work. :)

I tried to TMK it... didn't work out for me. :(

Not sure about qaz' program... care to chip in, metalliqaz? I've been sitting on this thing for half a year and still haven't figured out how to program it. If I can I'd buy another one.
