Had a plate laser cut (Help)

So, I have designed and had my first plate cut. I thought I would be smart and use 1/4" (5.588mm) acrylic so that I didn't need to worry about flexing of the plate.
Most of you realize that I made an error not allowing for the cherry MX clips to function, and after getting the switches, now I feel like I just made an expensive mistake.

Is there anyway I can apply and adhesive (epoxy/superglue/etc) to hard mount the switches to the plate? I am not worried about replacing the springs or being able to remove the top. Although I already have the plate cut with the extra notches.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

hot gluing the switches on the back of the plate would work fine

I hadn't thought about hot glue.
I'll definitely give that a try.

its not uncommon for people to order thicker acrylic plates and hot glue the switches, in you may even be able to get away without gluing them if they are a tight fit and you don't plan to remove the caps.

I have tested the switches in the plate. Unfortunately they are not that tight of a fit. I will try hot glue, and hope it holds well enough.
