Yep! Now it works!

Grey is the default color, so ROUND3/SPACE the same as ROUND3/SPACE/GREY .

I followed you previous instruction and ordered:

ROUND3/SPACE/BLACK 3

What would this get me?  If it is just the black spacebar that would match the Black Moogle kit, that would be perfect as backup spacebars for me in the future when they get shiny.  Thanks.

Starcraft keys (as far as I know they will be the same as in last round) are now in the list:
SCWIN           |  4|11|-1|4 Starcraft 1.25 units modifiers
SCESC           |  4| 7|-1|4 Starcraft 1 unit function keys
SCWINTERRAN     |  1| 3|-1|Starcraft Terran-Shield 1.25 mod.
SCESCTERRAN     |  1| 2|-1|Starcraft Terran-Shield funct.
SCWINPROTOSS    |  1| 3|-1|Starcraft Protoss-Std. 1.25 mod.
SCESCPROTOSS    |  1| 2|-1|Starcraft Protoss-Std. funct.
SCWINZERG       |  1| 3|-1|Starcraft Zerg simpl. 1.25 mod.
SCESCZERG       |  1| 2|-1|Starcraft Zerg simpl. funct.
SCWINRANDOM     |  1| 3|-1|Starcraft Random 1.25 mod.
SCESCRANDOM     |  1| 2|-1|Starcraft Random funct.

SCWIN and SCESC were not in Round3.  Are they just a set of all 4 keys (Terran, Protoss, Zerg, Random) in modifier form and ESC form?  Thanks.

How should I order white on orange gamer kit? Has it the same OrderId as in round3, i.e. "ORANGE 1" is valid order?

Here is what I ordered so far:

SCWIN 3
SCESC 3
LOD 2
LODM 1
CHERRYDOLCH 3
SPH/STD87/WHITE/GREY 1
ROUND3/SPACE 3
ROUND3/SPACE/BLACK 3

For SPH/STD87/WHITE/GREY,  all keys, including modifiers will be white on grey?  If I want the modifiers in different colors, I would have to order them separately?  Just want to make sure.  Thanks.

Same question
Edit: Read the wiki (it should be placed in the SC section for easier viewing imo). Yes it is.

Edit2: There's no WASD only kit (ideally with legends)??

Initial base order:

ROUND3/STD 1
ROUND3/SHOUT 1
BIANCO/STD/BLUE/WHITE 1
BIANCO/SHOUT 1
GAMER/ORANGE 1
GAMER/BLUE 1
BIANCO/SPACE/BLACK 3
BIANCO/SPACE/WHITE 3
ROUND3/SPACE/GREY
LOD 3
(sent to 7bit_R4)

But would like to have the option to order both or at least one of the following:
RETRO/STD/BE/GAW 1
RETRO/SHOUT/BE/GAW 1
RETRO/STD/BE/WEA 1
RETRO/SHOUT/BE/WEA 1

EDIT:  Would drop the Bianco/STD and Add-Ons and replace w/ (2) Retro/STD sets and Add-Ons;  Prefer Bianco scheme but with Med-Top-Left Letter positions.

EDIT II:  Also would opt for RETRO/STD/ROUND3, i.e. ROUND 3 color scheme w/Med-Top-Left Letter positions instead of just ROUND3/STD.   At least until I change my mind again before actual final order.  WAY too many choices for a keyboard geek :W.

Which are these? http://deskthority.net/w/images/thumb/5/54/SP_Cherry_3270blue_43049.jpg/250px-SP_Cherry_3270blue_43049.jpg

I'm interested in a 104 key set of this if possible.  Not sure...

Edit: RETRO/STD/BE/GAW1
I think it is like that, but exactly sure.  The whole set is quite pricey, so standard will do.  I was wondering if the Gray part looks like the IBM Model M as in the picture?

I wonder what these kits will contain:

GEEKHACK - the geekhack kit. What keys are there really? I only know of an orange one with "geekhack" on..
GHALPHA - GH a-z, again anything special going on here?
GAMER - WASD and what else? Is it just a collection of commonly used gaming keys or is it something special about them?

I'm new here so maybe this is common knowledge, but it'd be nice to have it on the wiki or just an answer in the thread I guess.

My concerns, regarding this group buy:
  • Profile: Any chance of getting less angled/steep profile for the lower rows ? The profile from R3 might be good for people that elevate the back end of their keyboard, but when you don't, that's way too much.
  • Crappy molding: Some (most) keys from R3 seem to be a bit tilted and are not perfectly parallel to the neighboring keys. OK, "perfect" may not be the ideal term, but when compared to any Cherry set (for instance), it sucks rotten donkey balls.
  • Short and/or spaceless modifier labels: Your mileage will most likely vary, but I do prefer the good old tried and true "Ctrl", "Alt Gr", "PgUp", "PgDn", "Ins" and "Del" to those full-text labels (it's even worse when it's all-caps). Also, that space is horrible: "Caps Lock", "Back Space"... doh. Can you consider symbols-only for those (shift, caps, tab, enter, backspace, home, page up, page down), as an alternative ?
  • Quality-testing: Can we dream about SP sending you (7bit, most likely) samples, in order to rule-out their crappy work ? That means checking on wrong accents, badly-sized characters, and other oddities they may produce out of thin air (since the references sent to them seemed quite ok) ?
I guess that's all for the time being.

Definitely with you on abbreviated Ctrl, PgUp, etc. keys, and on single-word "Backspace".  I think "Caps Lock" has always been, and should always be, two words though.

Hi 7bit,

Judging from the invoice, it seems the

RGB105

sets cannot be ordered...

Am I doing it wrong?

They are on the list.

If you want them for the BIANCO style, you must order:

BIANCO/RGB105

This might be a really dumb question, but I can't find the answer in the wiki or in the OP... When is the deadline to order for round 4?

Currently, there is no deadline.

You've got plenty of time to decide what you want.

Is it possible to order a spacebar that will fit the Leopold Tenkeyless?

Seconded. Has SP gotten their heads wrapped around this yet? I was thinking about getting a Leopold and filling it with spherical caps, but last I heard they can't do spacebars.

Actually, has anyone done any mock ups of the spherical set's colors? The wiki mentions black, grey, and white, but doesn't say what is where.

Very simple: I've got to add order-IDs for blank keys.

Your idea is not bad.

Except there will be no Swedish blank kit!

I will set up something more useful ...

I'm not entirely sure what this post implies, is there no possibility of getting all required blank keycaps to cover up a 105 key swedish keyboard?

I think you can't order blank Swedish keys, which wouldn't make much sense anyway. The difference with a Swedish is the J shaped enter key and the smaller left shift (correct me if I'm wrong) and if you want a blank Swedish set you can just order the JRET set.

If you do however want non-blank keys then you can order the Swedish set.

7bit, what is the correct command to *increase* the number of units of something that you have already ordered?  For example, I already ordered:

Code: [Select]
CHERRYDOLCH 1

If I want to order 2 more CHERRDOLCH, do I re-order with the new total of 3:

Code: [Select]
CHERRYDOLCH 3

or do I just send in another order of 2:

Code: [Select]
CHERRYDOLCH 2

 to make it 3?

I think that you send your order in absolute numbers... Because if you send CHERRYDOLCH 0, you are removing your order... So I think that CHERRYDOLCH 3 is the correct answer.

Also, how deep is the material in the letter portion of the double shot?

Does it go all the way through?   It would be interesting to see if a black key with white lettering would allow light from a backlit LED keyboard to shine through.  Maybe there is too much TiO2 colorant in it for that to work even if it went all the way through.

Too bad he died young.   Climb the wall, or die trying!  :-)  Round 3 happened, didn't it?

Honestly I don't understand how we can order seemingly an unlimited variations of base kit, kit, FG and BG color combinations.  There were many problems with Round 3, I don't trust SP would do a better job with even more one-off variations.

e.g. BIANCO/RGB104/GREEN/BLUE

I made that up.  Probably an invalid entry...

See the Wiki how to order.

If you dont state any color, the light blue on gray/darkgray will be the default color.
So, for example, a standard (fullsize us ansi board) with the default colors:

RETRO/STD 1

And dont forget to state your mail address anywhere.
KBD8X II - MX 5000 - Realforce 88UB - Phantom - GH60

It's from Kishy.
It\'s the glass pipe fallacy. You can only believe that if you\'re on crack.

And also what about the vim key? Can I order it? :-)

VIM key added (white on green, spherical, row 3).

Other colors, key families on demand...

Same question
Edit: Read the wiki (it should be placed in the SC section for easier viewing imo). Yes it is.

Edit2: There's no WASD only kit (ideally with legends)??

My concerns, regarding this group buy:

  • Profile: Any chance of getting less angled/steep profile for the lower rows ? The profile from R3 might be good for people that elevate the back end of their keyboard, but when you don't, that's way too much.
No chance!

It is DCS or SA family. Period.

The following kits will have 'standard' labeling:

RETRO, DARK, maybe ALPS.

Symbols only should be no problem as long as we stick to the SP-symbols for those keys.

However, the CHERRY supplement kits, which provide the Cherry-style symbols, can also be done in other colors. BTW: There might be a good chance, that we will do a Handbag key for Caps Lock position.

  • Quality-testing: Can we dream about SP sending you (7bit, most likely) samples, in order to rule-out their crappy work ? That means checking on wrong accents, badly-sized characters, and other oddities they may produce out of thin air (since the references sent to them seemed quite ok) ?
I'm not sure if they have layout samples for what they will produce, but at least we will not wait for months until somone with a camera received his keys to see if they where OK. Next time, a quality check must be done before shipping starts.

I will also address the crooked key issue.

I guess that's all for the time being.

 pffffff ...
