What kind of font is being used in this photo?  I LIKE IT!

Edit: The orange WASD keys with the large print.

It is the normal Signature Plastics font.

The MODIFIER kit is an add-on kit (similar to what we had in Round 3, just in the current styles), What you mean is the MOD kit which is all the grey stuff in the graphic except for the number block and the function row, but including the \| key.

Thanks 7bit.  Is it possible to use the new ordering system to construct an order to create a moogle kit with Round 3 STANDARD set's color?  I would like a few moogle kits for my Dolch keycaps.  I think I can figure out the FG and BG colors.  But the keys I think I have problem with.

Just posted in the "Moogle kit 2" thread. I think it should be no problem. Prices will be higer when they really go for SVG legends. On the other hand, this should ensure at least the ledgends match. Personally, I don't like to mix old and new key caps. I would keep the old caps on the old keyboards.

Very cool!  Thanks for adding CHERRYDOLCH and previous Moogle kits.  Could you also add the Starcraft keycaps from round 3?

Edit: never mind, you already said in the wiki that round 4 will have starcraft keys again.

Just curious, will the Star Wars keys be included in Round 4?

I'm actually interested in a modifier and a ESC key replacement.

Wiki: These prices are only valid, if at least 25 units of each kit are ordered!

What does that mean exactly? There will be many kits that wont come to 25. Will there be a new price for each one?

Very simple: I calculated the prices for 25 keys of one kind. If there are more produced, prices go down, if there are fewer, prices will be higher.

How should I know beforehand how many keys will be ordered of each kind?

I'm loving the options, 7bit. :) One question: is it possible to get Control modifiers that have a shortened text on them? For example, instead of "Control" it would just say "Ctrl". Personally I just don't like the way the long spelling looks after seeing the shortened version for so many years.

Yes, right. Not all these kits will happen, but these language or keyboard specific kits will be sponsored a bit by the more useless kits (as it had been done in Round 3 as well).

That's the weak point:

There are not all sizes available....

The main problem (and that is the only one which would really be missing) is the space bar.

They have evrything  until 8 untis. 7 units spacebars are too new and 6.25 are out of reach future in terms of spericals:-(

We need at least a 7 units space bar made which does not cost a fortune, but is not cheap.

US-layout Cherry keyboards still say Control instead of Ctrl.

Or we can fund the $500 mold fee... Which actually might be something to consider. It would be REALLY cool to have some molds that match the Filco / KBC profile for doubleshots. I personally prefer the higher profile in comparison to SP dcs / Cherry.

+1

You'd be looking at like $2 tacked onto each order, which isn't that bad, really...especially if we can continue to use it for future group buys.

Well a custom mold, it would be our say. We could tell them to make them solid if we wanted to. I was thinking about it though, it is pretty expensive. Looking at at least $7,500 for the 14 unique key sizes / profiles for a 104 layout. Would need something like 150 orders minimum to make it cost effective.

The more choices the fewer pieces of one choice will be produced, the higehr the price. The colors are not final, but I think these many different colors and text-styles should please most of us.

I prefer the BE Blue in your Avatar instead of the BBJ currently listed for Bianco text color option.

Imagine them touching your keys with their butter fingers and laughing about those idiot guys who order 'key caps'!

If it's only $500 it might be possible to make the necessary spacebars for the Noppoo and Leopold. I doubt that anyone is willing to pay for Filco-profile keys. LOL!

In terms of profile, the Filco keys are the ones which are off.

I agree about the OEM filco keys being off. I much prefer the SP lower profile shape to the stock Filcos. How about an SP Filco-compatible spacebar that doesn't cut into your thumb?

When we let them make Leopold and Noppoo space bars, we can also let them make the 6.25 unit space bar in a better shape. maybe we need to send them a sample so they know how it should be.

I just clicked on that wiki.    My head didn't explode but that's because I quickly closed it and decided to wait a bit.

And I have no idea what you guys are talking about Filco keys being off.  More keyboards follow that convention than not.  See the Key Ref Wiki stickied above for details.

The ideal would be exact Cherry clones. I doubt this will be ever doable.

I know, the wiki article needs pictures and layout graphics. It is much better than the first post in Round 3 on which I gave up at the end.

ps: thanks for avoiding the explosion!

hey, can you fix up SVG files so that they are black with transparent backgrounds and get them sent over to 7bit?

Do that and I'll edit the thread to redirect to this one (R4) so 7bit can start taking orders.

7bit: Can we get both 1x and 1.25x (for modifiers) made? or would it be easier for just one? If so, I would strongly prefer the 1.25x (ctrl/alt/win/meta).

The starcraft keys where such a succes that I think we should offer them for both, the function row and the modifier row.

Add-on kits are just additional key caps to supplement the standard layouts, like the above mentioned Star Wars keys etc.

hey, can you fix up SVG files so that they are black with transparent backgrounds and get them sent over to 7bit?

Do that and I'll edit the thread to redirect to this one (R4) so 7bit can start taking orders.

I changed the files linked to in that post.  Not sure if I need to actually send them to 7bit (or how I would go about doing that), or if he can just download them from the links.

Let me know.

Belgian azerty layout would work with Filco, right?

They will not look like the LED windows on Cherry key caps.
They will not be double shot.
They will not be cheap.
