R1 THREAD

Round 2 is here and faster than ever! Like CF-LXXX, this buy will be limited to 10 cases, one per person. These are carbon fiber, skeleton-style cases designed to be lightweight and portable. They are comprised of a carbon fiber plate and backplate, with a frosted clear acrylic midpiece. The case has been designed by foggyflute, who will also be assisting with the manufacturing.

This will be utilizing the same design and manufacturer as the first round, so turnaround will be fast. Unfortunately, I am at school until Thanksgiving break, so the cases will be shipped out then. This is a firm date, no sooner no later. Because of my last GB having quite a few extended problems and because I realize that people might be reluctant to hand over money again, pre-payment will be optional. Regardless of your choice, your spot will be reserved. I'll keep a wait list beyond the 10 buyers in case of any non-payers.

Anyone who chooses not to prepay will be invoiced when the cases arrive at my house. This should ensure that there is no uncertainty about ability to ship the product in the specified timeframe. Anyone who does not pay within 1 week will have their spot given to the first person on the waitlist.

Yep. Only question is if I can get it in time to do all the shipping at home, or if I'll have to have it sent to school and get it done there.

Has anyone who's outside the US had problems with their tracking number? I've had two people contact me so far about tracking numbers that show the destinations as completely different places. I'll be calling USPS later about it as apparently, I can't email about international problems...

Almost definitely not, unfortunately. It's a pretty niche item that I've already done two rounds of already. Been thinking about doing a 40%, but I'm not even sure there would enough interest for that.

Yeah, I'd be curious about this too. Though the acrylic is definitely on the more opaque side so you won't get any crazy glow from it

This is built with a DZ60. The underglow isn't crazy strong but it's enough for me, especially at night.

67g MX Clears with 62g Gateron Black Shift and Fn keys, GMK Red Alert. Board is really nicely light but rigid, great sound. I got some cheap aluminum GON-style feet and was able to easily drill a couple holes in the bottom to screw them on. It almost feel like typing on bamboo. The edges of the carbon fiber are a bit rough. Not sure how best to smooth them, any thoughts welcome.

Oh ok so that's actually solid light through. I'll talk to him about the rougher edges. Every case in this round will have feet, so no more custom work for you guys lol.
