People in the 1980s, in general, were clearly just better than we are now in every measurable way.

The dumber the reason the more it must be done

Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

I love this thread... and I pretty much like photography too, but I just don't have all those beautiful mechs you guys have. I did post a couple of close-ups some time ago.

I do have a project in mind though. I have a cherry MX Lock that I'd like to take a nice photo to but with its green led on. I hope you don't mind me asking this here but does anyone know what voltage should I use to turn it on (without being connected to a pcb etc I mean)

Thanks!

OK, had to go back to the drawing board to recompress the remaining colorized versions of HPE1000's original (and quite beautiful) Dolch keycaps.  I hope he doesn't mind.

Brown.
182489-1
Navy blue.
182491-2
Cyan?  Not too sure about my color names.
182493-3
Olive green, my personal favorite.

They're fantastic, basically feel like a smother version of ergos I have had in the past. Typing a little lighter and more accurately on them than ergos though.

Totally agree.  I use the browns at work on a steel plated tkl and switch between ergo clears and Outemu Ice purples at home and am really happy with all 3 options.  I have realized that I no longer care for mx blues or mx whites now and have even considered selling off my Pure with whites to get a vintage black build.

Please keep up the spamming. ^-^ Love the spaces left on this board which makes it dynamic and original.

The fact that I can often times see new thinking (layout, ratio, material, combination, etc) is the biggest joy in this hobby. Those new boards are no more useful than a generic black plastic tenkeyless but the pleasure they bring is clearly there.
