Poker keyboard - OFFICIAL PRE-ORDER / PRE-PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS

Yeah, the naming is definitely awkward but it's too late since everyone's calling it Poker X now. I don't really care about names though as long as the keyboard meets my expectations. The price was my first disappointment, the ABS keycaps was second. The layout might turn out to be a disappointment as well. But we'll see. Hopefully I'll be proven wrong once I get my keyboard in 2041. :p

People in Korea have been receiving Poker X keyboards already. So unfair, they can just buy whenever they want and they'll get it within a few days. :P

I think of the fireplace instrument that is used to rearrange burning logs and sometimes to fend off burglars.

I'm there with you. I completely missed the card game definition at first. And the poking (verb) meaning failed when I saw it wasn't limited to only Cherry blacks.
I trolled Geekhack and all I got was an eponymous SPOS.

Yes, but they don't APPRECIATE them as much as we do for this exact reason :p

Only 4 people did pay for the Poker? The European list seems to be much more successful...which is not weird at all because in Europe we have to expend and arm and a leg to get anything mechanical. The cheapest mechanical keyboard in thekeyco goes for 130€, no wonders why sixty will be so busy sending keyboards all around europe XD

Not really. I've been reading up on the poker x owners experiences and the more I read the more I realize the poker's been hyped up too much. I'm really getting the poker solely for it's compact size.

On the other hand, they are spoiled with some very awesome custom keyboards so they probably have higher expectations and standards. Their latest custom keyboard run left overs sold out in less than 3 minutes. lol

Does anyone know how high the keyboard tilts up? How does it compare to the Filco/Leopold's height? I know it doesn't have any stand up feet so it's stuck at what it is. I'm the type of person that has to have his keyboards tilted up with the feet, for some reason, can't stand typing on a "flat" keyboard.

According to an earlier post on this subject, the keyboard is pitched such that the top row of keys is half an inch higher than the first row. Personally I prefer zero-pitch keyboards, but what the heck.

Wow, thanks for the link, that's super informative. Hmmm, this might push me towards getting one now as I really like the super small form factor. Wish there were more reviews out there in addition to the deskthority ones.

I'm going to review the Poker after mine arrives. I suspect many others in the group buy will be doing the same, so you can look forward to a rash of reviews.

if anyone wants a poker red, i may be buying a filco linear-r from panda, so i'd be willing to give my preordered poker red spot out to someone else, send me a pm

ps. i ordered a red switch and a set of caps, both preorder spots are up for grabs if i get the filco from panda, assuming imav is okay refunding my paypal and dealing with some more processing (sorry imav)

If anyone has any questions on these you can ask me, I'm using a cherry red poker right now. I'm not really sure I like it much, I miss my arrow keys, and the cherry reds are a little too light, completely eliminated my hand fatigue, but I often find myself walking sideways a lot when gaming.(from accidently hitting A or D, not a fault of the board.)
