Hi everybody! I've got some news for ya, I'm about halfway done with the PCB design for this and I've also got some news on layouts n stuff. No renders or anything else pretty (yet) but when I get done with the PCB wiring I can see that being the next logical step and then we'll go from there.
Current Layout Options (Of course adding in the EU macro pad otherwise what's the point, right?):
MIT (2u Spacebar) {Listed Below}
GRID (all 1u)
and now entering the ring is the new image below unto which I'm calling...
BAGUETTE (4 - 1.25u, 7u Spacebar)
I thought about adding 2x2u but decided that maybe for a first run I should probably avoid making the pcb more swiss cheese than it already is. That should wrap up this little update here, and I hope you have had a wonderful holiday and have a good new year!
Update (1/30/20)
Hello again! No, I'm not dead, I've just been working on the PCB on and off and it's been quite a good time. I have finished the PCB and have DM'd the people who are going to be getting prototype pcbs which means this baby is in motion for the most part. I still don't 100% know if I want to go with a super premium/low number run or a super cheap/virtually unlimited and on a vendor yet but hopefully I'll have made up my mind when protos get here.
NOW onto the good stuff. The layout supports all 3 layouts as promised!... technically. You will have support for 2u space bar but it wont have stabilizers. Other than that everything is routed and I've had multiple people approve of the traces and such so now she's ready to rock and boy am I excited! I'll be ordering the protos tomorrow and I'll report back to you once I have them in my hands.
