Title: Bought Pro Micro 5v clone. Got Deek-Robot knockofs. How to use QMK?

I'm OK ordering again from a more... reputable supplier, but I'd really like to get this project underway.

For those that don't know what the Deek-Robot Pro Pico board (and associated knockoffs) is, it is basically the same as the Sparkfun Arduino Pro Mini.

I have one FTDI USB programmer that I don't use that I can throw at this project, and maybe order a second if it's the right fix.  I also have half a dozen WeMos D1 Mini boards that I don't think I can turn into programmers, but might make for another interesting control possibility.

What are your thoughts on this, can I use the FTDI programmer as part of the whole device or should I just re-buy the right parts?

Much easier to buy a pro micro. AFAIK, v-usb has been deprecated.
