Unpopular mod opinion
When we get a warning they gotta be more specific than "attacking users". Maybe a pm with a link to where we attacked said user.
This is something that the mods talked about as a group, and we agree. We do try now to either link to the posts in question (if they have not been removed), or the thread in question. However, sometimes we simply forget. If you have a concern about a specific warning, please feel free to contact any member of the moderation team.
Also no anon mod account. Stand behind your actions.
I can't speak for others, but I occasionally use the mod team account for a few reasons.
1) If we are starting a line of conversation and sending a PM containing content from multiple moderators. By using the account that every mod has access to, we can all see any replies, and the team can respond as a group if the person who was acting as point of contact is busy, or asleep, or is dealing with IRL issues.
2) If someone has sent a message to the mod team account, I will sometimes reply from that account, rather than dealing with forwarding the message to my own account, logging out and logging back in just to reply to a single message.
3) If I'm already logged into the mod team account anyway, I will occasionally moderate from that account as well.
And stop deleting posts unless it's spam. Just warn users.
We remove posts, or parts of posts, that should not have been made in the first place and are against the TOS.
If anyone wants to discuss these points further, please feel free to contact me or make a thread in the feedback subforum.
